Now, he needs to offer a public apology and be censured by Congress. If we, as a society, allow members of Congress to post such hateful, insensitive comments, and the only repercussion is that they have to delete what they posted, we will not curtail this from happening again. #consequences

It's a federal crime to impersonate FEDERAL law enforcement. It is time to extend it to ALL law enforcement officials, increasing penalties. They are currently fines and up to 3 years imprisonment. Recent events/DHS tactics have greatly increased the likelihood of this happening.

As an Army veteran, I guarantee this is not the way service members wanted to celebrate the 250th anniversary. There is a lot of work required to prepare, transport, and secure all of this equipment. They would have rather used the money for a free, base-wide gathering with friends and family.

I believe the rules of a congressional inquiry, especially one held with a cabinet member, should disallow filibustering and require the witness to answer the question asked, or allow the member of Congress asking the questions the ability to cut off the witnesses microphone.
