What’s your go-to starting point for getting past the blank page for D&D session or adventure prep? I feel like mine is always monsters. I always find good nuggets of ideas from noodling around in a bestiary for a few minutes.

And not necessarily just for combat, lots of my “weird little guy” NPCs come from something in a Monster Manual description that piques my interest

Next batch of 4 movies are done. I think I liked Candyman the best but Red Rooms was also great. Just was more thriller than horror

I’m anticipating that V/H/S will be the scariest of the last bunch because of the found footage framing that always gets me. I have a feeling I’ll like Funny Fames the most

Behind on my October horror watch so gonna try to do a movie a night until Thursday to wrap up my list for this year

My first five ttrpgs in the order I played them: 1. D&D 3.5/4e (I don’t remember which it was one session and I didn’t run it 😅) 2. D&D 5e 3. Kids on Bikes 4. Dread 5. Root RPG

My first five ttrpgs in the order I played them: 1. D&D 3.5 2. Dread 3. 5e ("next" really, back in testing) 4. Call of Cthulu 5. Paranoia (4 and 5 also may be swapped)

Made some good progress on the palettes. Still just using some premade presets but the structure is there for custom palettes too.

imho if your cookie banner doesn’t allow one-click “reject” and I have to click “manage cookies” first, you aren’t GDPR/Privacy compliant in my eyes

Should probably make a new profile photo at some point this one is getting old but I do like that beard/stache

Bring Her Back (2025): Oh man this one was a blast to watch. Edge of my seat and the kid who played Oliver was so good and so freaky.

Thir13en Ghosts (2001): A stupid, fun, very 2000s horror. I loved the absurdity of the different ghosts. I'll honestly watch anything with Matthew Lillard in it tho.

The Haunting of Hill House and The Haunting of Bly Manor: Loved both of these so much. Hill House in particular but they're both great.

The Haunting (1963): Also based on The Haunting of Hill House novel. This one was really good and reminds me I need to go watch more old horror.

Still getting used to doing video stuff after a long time and I know there are some weird audio crackling at the end! But this was my best take and I wasn't gonna do it a fourth time 🫣 Be nice pls

Holding off on doing a big official announcement post because DTRPG is down for maintenance but my latest adventure is live on my shop and that's the only place I'm selling the print zine anyway just dont tell anyone ok its a secret just between you and me

"dont worry, we didn't use LLMs for real art, like writing, or graphics, or sound, we only used it for dumb gross useless basic shit like programming" always the funnest thing to read as a programmer, as someone whose whole career is based on code, whose handwritten library changed the industry etc
