So now that everyone can watch it, last week I went and saw #TheAmazingDigitalCircus #TheLastAct in theaters. And I have spoiler filled thoughts so heads up and don't read the thread below if you don't want to see spoilers.

I'm way happier now that I fully understand my pansexuality and my clear male identity. Am I a bit effeminate at times sure but I'm genuinely solidified in who I am and that wasn't where I was some 4-5 years ago. You might be in a deep dark hole today but that's not where you're going to be forever.

Suffice to say #TheAmazingDigitalCircus is a show that I absolutely have fallen in love with and think absolutely nails the landing and will remain as a testament to letting diverse people create diverse stories that speak to them because there are others who are in that same boat.

Especially during Pride Month this show tackles many different levels of mental health that can arise from people who are LGBTQ+. While these conditions aren't entirely exclusive to the group it does very much connect to us strongly. I know I've had to tackle a few of these things myself.

Then there's the reveal that our characters aren't the real people they thought they were. They're just copies of them from a tumultuous time in their lives. So we get the message of don't worry this time will pass and you will be able to get through it. It made me tear up because it's true.

So we dive really deep into Jax's backstory and how he doesn't feel comfortable being open about his feelings and his guilt about hurting his mother. When he is open he feels defensive whenever someone is being empathetic to him. He doesn't want pity but he desperately wants to be understood.

It's a fine line; I think empathy can come off as pity and it needs to be accepted with a mutual understanding of each other. Because Jax keeps everyone at an arms length he doesn't have this mutual understanding and it's only Pomni who can break thst barrier. Finally.

Man #Mixtape is one of those experience games that is totally worth playing. It is a movie like video game but in the sense that it still does stuff that you're only gonna get when playing a video game. Obviously not streamer friendly but at the $20 price tag (for those w/o Gamepass) it's worth it.

Applies readily to games too. It would be so much easier for devs if gamers simply had opinions. Instead we have armchair pros who've never touched gamedev supposing that they know more about what a game needs and how it should be made.

The most bad-ass rebuttal from Tite Kubo, the author of Bleach.

As a #Pokémon fan who loves VGC/competitive Pokémon battles. #PokémonChampions is absolutely worthless and in its current state a half baked live service whose economy is so in favor of GF/Pokemon Company that it feels wrong.

Mega stones are 2k a pop. You get 9 free stones. All others need to be purchased. Seems like it's mostly the early game ZA stones.

And this doesn't even get to the fact that the game runs at 720p 60fps in menus and 30fps in battles. No Switch 2 patch (I would be shocked if it even did have one at launch). Overall I can say in its current state:

The cosmetics are basically what color do you want out of 4-5 preset full outfits do you want and the VP prices go up to 2800 VP depending on the item. No rotom earpiece thing color customization is available atm.

Hold items are 700 to 1k VP depending on the item. You get a free Lum Berry, Sitrus Berry, Leftovers, Bright Powder, Quick Claw, King's Rock, Focus Sash, Focus Band, White Herb, and Choice Scarf (might vary depending on your first free Mon when you do the recruit tutorial idk)

Xp for the Battlepass maxes out to one lvl per battle at 100 XP. The Premium Battlepass (for this first season) locks you out of 2 of the 3 mons you can receive which are locked to the game and can't leave. Premium battlepass is standard $10 USD. Seasons will last a little over 30 days.

Membership fee is $5 a month or $50 for the year (so $10 in savings a year). That gives you access to: Storage increase of 80->1k mons Team load outs from 3->15 Access to Exclusive weekly missions that currently don't give you VP And one exclusive battle music track No premium battlepass access

Pricing of items in VP currency versus payout is atrocious. Honestly to deck out a single Pokemon from scratch is upwards of 3300 VP if you have to change every single aspect of the Pokemon. Payout for battle wins maxes out at 300 VP. And losses payout per amount of health lost from your opponent.
