After nearly 8 months being closed, Garmin revamps and re-opens their Connect API program. This new program now offers instant and free API for users to access their own data, plus new tiers for companies to access data. Here's everything you need to know: www.dcrainmaker.com/2026/10/garm...

www.nottinghampost.com/news/local-n... Driving though red lights, displaying incorrect number plates, failing to provide the identity of a driver committing an offence on top of the previous repeated speeding offences I'm sure £1k and 6 points will work in a way last year's ban didn't...

I mean her party is polling on average 18% in the polls. She's 'set' for a general election at Xmas in the same way I'm set for winning a grand slam tennis tournament next week

Apparently there's a time travel portal next to the fruit & veg scales at my local Asda, didn't even notice it 😂

Mad that we wouldn't consider (e.g.) short-sightedness to be something that's getting over diagnosed! I can't be the only one that keeps seeing coverage like this and actually sees their own struggles in the symptoms reported and starts wondering if they have ADHD or not?

and had wasted their time as it was a viral infection. Where as what I actually wanted was the reassurance that there was nothing untowards, and advice on how to manage it in the meantime (heck, if I can avoid it I'd prefer not to take medication).

With reporting like this, and experiences like that it's no wonder so many of us leave seeing the GP until well after the point we might have a good outcome that saves the NHS money and improves our own lives in the long term....

"The review said not every difficulty required a medical response" - seems to be the only thing GPs think of though - remember a few years ago the NHS running ads saying if you've had a cough for 3 weeks to see your GP, so I did after 4 and you'd have thought all I wanted was antibiotics...

The settings of Nottingham Castle is improving no end right now now the Multistory is being demolished, the castle walls are now visible from Collin Street. The Green Heart 💚 opened in the middle distance last year further adds to the improvement.

I'm sure it would be fine driving under a spiders web of rebar and loose concrete and dodging all the debris on the floor... Some people have no critical thinking skills don't they?

Gotta love the local rag commentators who think there should be enough people and equipment standing around idle most of the year (at no extra cost to the taxpayer) so they can do all roadworks during school holidays around the clock - but obviously not overnight outside their house...

2. To provide a contingency fund for the possible construction of a new bridge, or bridges, over the River Trent as may be found necessary or desirable 3. To give any residue of any income to the improvement of the city and the public benefit of its inhabitants, via a grant to the council.

The Bridge Estate charity’s income largely comes from the letting of property across the city, with many of its properties based in Lister Gate.

Concrete monstrosity once voted the "ugliest building in Nottingham" and alter to 1970 town planning be gone. 😍

westbridgfordwire.com/east-midland... With all the moaning anyone would think there's no free option people could use, "Drivers [...] can use a long-stay car park, where parking is free for up to one hour." That's 800m walk from the terminal - closer than the Victoria Bus Station to Skylink*

westbridgfordwire.comEast Midlands Airport drop-off parking up 60% to £8 for five minutes less | West Bridgford WireEast Midlands Airport is increasing its Rapid Drop Off charge from £5 for 15 minutes to £8 for ten minutes from 3pm on Tuesday 29 September. Featured

* and I've walked the 1.6km (so twice that distance) to the nearest Skylink bus stop with luggage every time I've flown from EMA. And previously £5?! So all the moaning people do about it is for something that's cheaper than a couple getting the bus?

(Note also, "Blue badge holders can continue to use designated drop-off bays in the Short Stay 1 car park free of charge").

Motorists obviously find parking too complex & can't be trusted Let's streamline it OnStreet is only allowed in marked bays paid in a National Parking App¹ OffStreet has clear signs at the entrance² to the car park showing the ID & if Pay on Entry, Pay on Exit, Pay & Display, or Pay Before Exit³

¹ Paypoint/Post Office/Supermarkets etc available as alternatives. ² And all pedestrian exits ³ (e.g.) pubs allowing payment for their car park at the bar, Stores at the checkout etc.

Councils can do the enforcement & keep all the money - profits go to an 3 way split between road maintance, Investment in parks, and building cycle infrastructure to LTN1/20 or better standards. ATE gets to run the enforcement and spend 100% profit for councils failing to build suffent cycle infra😈

If your vehicle spans multiple spaces you pay for all of them, if it falls outside a space then £350 fine. Obviously no free spaces due to the cost of operating the simplified parking scheme. 😈

Wait, what? www.oxfordmail.co.uk/news/2657841... "Network Rail highlighted [the] infrastructure around Oxford station is still close to full capacity. This means it cannot currently accommodate the launch of East West Rail services, which were expected to operate between Oxford & Milton Keynes."

City officials in a Texas suburb gave Amazon approval to start a drone delivery service in December as part of the company’s new Prime Air program. But for some, the ever-droning deliveries pose the most serious threat to their private and peaceful life. trib.al/ErjQ1FU

Although I think Amazon might find it difficult to operate such a service from our local distribution centre - being right next to the runway of the counties 2nd busiest cargo airport! The drone of cargo plans lining up for final approach to EMA every evening is annoying enough!
