Kay 🌱 comms open!

Hi #PortfolioDay I’m Kay! Im a freelance book illustrator who loves drawing nature and romance 🌷 linktr.ee/Kfine 💌 kayfine.arts@gmail.com

The girls have come a long way #korrasami 💜

Getting older as an artist is hard random parts of your body just start hurting when you draw

Finally finished this piece that was sitting in my folder for a while #ocs

I’ve been using procreate for about 8 years now and just realized you can adjust the fill tool to not feather around the edges, this whole time

Signed up for a figure drawing class with a local art club I’m so excited I miss being in an art community 🥹

I said I’d post more this year after quitting my job to focus on art again but then I took on a bunch of NDA work but I’m still drawing!!! I promise !!! 🫡

obsessed with the turpentine brush on procreate recently

Recent sketch commissions!

Bought a baby treadmill since I’ve switched to drawing full time again im excited I hate sitting so much !!

Saw the new avatar trailer and all I could think about was older Korrasami

It’s crazy there was a time I’d post my commission sheet and I’d sell out of slots in minutes and now I’m so unbelievably grateful to just get 1 comm

It’s crazy it’s been a month since I started my “I wanna improve at horses” project and I can already see some results 🥲

More 1 hour horse painting studies 🐴

Making reels to please the instagram algorithm feels like a humiliation ritual

Kinda crazy I quit my full time job and now I’ve drawn more art in the span of a month than I had in 2 years

Opening a few pet portrait commissions :)

Let’s not give a damn with papa (1 hour painting study)

I keep seeing so many artists on insta making bank off of monthly print clubs and now I’m wondering If I too can do that., but then I think about printing and packaging and shipping and get stressed

A bunch of one hour horse studies I’ve done the past two weeks

I watched a vid recently about not using ovals when sketching as it leads to indecision and instead making ‘lemon slices’ and it’s subtle but it’s been helping so much already

My body is not used to drawing so much again I had to order a wrist brace 😭

rewatched Spirit recently and wanted to do a quick 2 hour background painting practice 🐎

If you are commissioning an artist, and want a specific pose, don't run to genAI to try and make it for you. Draw a stick person. Stick person poses are beloved among all artists. We can see exactly what you want. Do not fear sending the stick person. The stick person is magical.

Happy pride month from my ocs 💛

I’ve learned tomodachi life is a great party game to trick all your friends into watching you draw

I spent my entire day driving from castle to castle in Ireland today here’s my favorite pics I took

Aang’s forever girl #atla

I’ve been really busy in tomadachi life

Been rewatching Steven universe again to show my fiancé and forgot how incredible this show is
