Slavery is theft. It is a special case because it is the theft of the potential of a person's entire life and, when continued for generations as it was in the USA, that person's inheritance and legacy. It steals *everything*. Slavery is to theft what genocide is to murder.

ICYMI, the issue here is not whether one person's life is objectively more valuable than another. That's a stupid, shallow, useless, worthless notion. The wrong is in acting like one life objectively matters more. And you can't do that without power over other people. And that is the root cause.
