Kirby Guardian episode 18 releases on YouTube and Newgrounds next weekend! Just like I did with the previous one, I won't immediately start working on episode 19. I planned on working on my tech demo this month and will do that. Back to the grave for me, take care, folks! 🪦💜

I don't have anything, so here are some backgrounds. With the current setup: Models made in Blender. Polish done in Krita.

Kirby Guardian episode 18 only needs music, audio and the patrons name roll. It'll be released in late October. In the meantime, please enjoy this unfinished illustration of the noble bumble bee.

Little update. Episode 18 is 51% completed. I had low mojo over the weekend but as you can tell, it came back today, allowing me to get work done. I guess brooding is nice for me, from time to time, especially since I know it never lasts more than 3 days. That's my special ability. What's yours? c:

Episode 17's music was a bit cathartic for me: 1) "Chaos - Strange Food" from episode 8 was called that due to it being planned to be remixed later. 3 years later, "Chaos - Channel Hop" is finally a thing. 2) The full "family" song idea was delayed due to my decision of adding Ribbon to the show.

Kirby Guardian episode 18 is 36% completed. I'm sketching the last scene of the episode tonight. The goal is to have every background and all the animation done by next sunday, so I can leave the music and everything else for the week after.🥃 Episode 17's YouTube OST videos release tomorrow!

A story in 4 pictures. The first scene of Kirby Guardian episode 18 has been sketched. I'll start animating a bit tonight. Each of the 3 scenes are about 8 camera shots long. It'll also be a laid-back, relaxed episode. So, I'm aiming for scene 1 to be fully animated but the end of the month.

I did a TON of work for the tech demo, over the last 2 weeks. Today, I modelled those UI elements but I'm over the whole thing for now. So, I'll start setting up Kirby Guardian Episode 18, tomorrow. I wanna model some land. I was hoping I would for the tech demo, but the rewrite too extra time.

"Detention" An oldie from 2017. I remember folks liking that one back in the Twitter days but I've always wondered if they actually knew what this was about, since no one pointed it out. (You can tell it's 2017 with the gritty colours and the "Pac-Man" eyebrows I use to do back then.)

Kirby Guardian Episode 17 releases on Saturday. The Patreon fam already saw it last week and I've been in the grave, working on my tech demo for the past few days.🪦 I haven't started work on episode 18 yet, I'll take extra time for the tech demo but worry not, my children, for food is on the way.

"Stillbirth" was originally planned to be titled "Ghost Kid". It makes sense when you notice the inspiration for BleakOne's face. "Stillbirth" gets the same point across and just sounds good.

I never considered that finding high boots for my size would be the toughest challenge of my life yet here we are...

The alternate ending, where Ribbon just gets fucking activated. Fairies aside, the animation process for episode 17 should only take about 2 days until it's finished. After that; the usual. Sound effects, the thumbnail and it'll be ready to go on Patreon first. No release dates, you know the drill!

"Cool Mom" While The Company are having fun in the tall grass, their guardian relaxes while keeping an eye on them, to make sure they don't get lost. She can see everything from here and walks up to them when they're done adventuring! An hour of walking for them is about five steps for Adeleine.

Also, I don't share it much but just in case, I post my Twitch VODs on my second YouTube channel. It never happens. Like "Only once" type of thing. The poster in Ribbon's garage features Toppy. A famous singer from Ripple Star, back when Ribbon was very young and two-winged. Ribbon keeps it intact as not only does it provide emotional support from another fairy with the words "Shine on, Ribbon", Toppy was also her one and only childhood crush.
