Progress Check 5/5 I’m gonna be honest, I have nothing. I didn’t work on it all week. I didn’t have lots of free time. Idk if i’ll even make it in time for the NG Spooktacular within the next 2 weeks. I wanted to release the animation on the 15th, the day I started on the animation last year.

Progress Check: Week 4/5 So, like I was sick for half the week, so I didn’t get much done, but I felt better after Thursday and got some progress done.

I was on and off with it. Especially during the summer when I felt bummed that it didn’t make the cut for SSF. The only reason I did these checks anyway was cuz I had nobody else to talk about this with really, so might as well show the world what i’ve been working on (and to keep myself in check)

This animation has been something i’ve been passionate about finishing. Sometimes I feel like im talking into an empty void posting these each week, but it’s comforting. So, anyone who’s been reading these (or just skimming), thank you for the support whether I get this done on time or not🐝🐝🐝

Progress Check: Week 3/5 It’s going good. Got a lot of progress done over last weekend and a bit this weekend. My hands are very tired, so this’ll be a shorter check in.

Now next week is the last week I gave myself to finish this up and im gonna be honest.. I don’t think i’ll finish it by next week. Even after I get all the animation done, I still got a ton of sound effects to add. I’ll still make the last progress check, but after that im locking in

This is the middle of the animation and the middle part is a mess of ideas cuz I don’t have that section done and I go with the flow with all of my animations. No script. How do I make it feel grand and cool? What can I put without making it convoluted? I hate you, Greg. You know who you are, Greg 👁️

You see, I want to extend the chase scene. Right now, it stands at roughly 1 minute long. Now I know that sounds like a good amount, but I want it to be more tense, more scary for halloween, but I don’t know how to go about extending the chase scene without making it feel dragged out.

Well. Since I’m talking about it a lot, how about I start documenting some actual progress to show the work i’ve been gettin done. Mainly cuz I wanna get it done in mmm.. let’s say 4 weeks. Here’s the original I made for all to see again. Happy with what I gotten done here, but could be better. It’d be a fun thing to work on next year cuz i’m gonna have my hands a bit full even after I get the animation done, but I wonder what other people think about my thoughts on this 🐛

One more thing I wanna clear up. Despite Mella’s last name being “S’mora” she’s not actually a S’more. She’s just a marshmallow. I thought it’d be a fun thing like how Squidward isn’t a squid n other such examples; if however she was a s’more, this is what she’d look like◻️

If I were to retcon the og one (and more serious about doing these marshmallow animations), I’d do what I have never done before and remake the entire thing and let it become an actual depth story between Mella and Marsha and how they came to be
