I have been surrounded! 🥹 They were so close I had swans bumping into me. Have to be careful trying to get out of here so I don’t trip over one! 😂

Last year, a swan with a missing tail was a regular sight at Pulls Ferry. Saw a familiar orange ring at Whitlingham Broad this morning. Got a bit more fluff, but still not a full tail!

Sad to see Richard and Elise appear to have lost all their cygnets. 😞 Started with four. Lost one early on. Seen today with no young. They still seem close, so hopeful they’ll try again next year.

On the brighter side, the experienced family still have all eight hatched cygnets. 😊 Surprised to see nothing has grabbed the unhatched egg still on their nest!

Richard and Elise bought their first family up to their old hangout spot. 🥹 Sad to see they have lost one of the cygnets. 😞 Richard is being a good protective dad. He chased all the other swans out of the river while the little ones stayed close to Elise. 🥰

Friendly swan today. 🥰 He was loafing, but took some food. Then after I gave the rest of the pellets to the swans in the water, I turned to find him standing there. Sorry, it’s all gone! 😭 I got some nods from him though. 🥰

I’ve been loving Pokémon Pokopia. Recently finished the main story and now just having fun building stuff, looking for new Pokémon and exploring more of the islands. Except one thing has now ruined the game for me…

I don’t even know at this point if I really do have an incomplete kit somewhere, or if it’s a glitch making the game think I do. If Pokopia would just tell me WHICH island the kit is on it’d at least narrow down my search.

I stand by Pokopia needing to tell players where a “lost” relocation kit is, but I’m relieved I finally found the damn thing! It was in one of my suspected spots. A water wheel. The kit was well hidden by the land either side of a narrow river. So there’s something to consider if you’ve lost one.

This right here. This one little message has turned Pokopia from a fun little cozy game into utter frustration. I know what the issue is. I just can’t resolve it because I have NO BLOODY IDEA where the thing is, and the game doesn’t give you any clue of where to look.

Somewhere on one of the islands I’ve either got a relocation kit placed that needs completing, or it’s in storage. It could be on ANY of the islands. I’ve searched them all. Checked every container I can find. Nothing. I’m locked out of using relocation kits because this message is so unhelpful.

I see this pigeon flock more often than the larger group that follows me around, but they’re usually not so bold. So having this pretty white bird eager to come up for food and encourage others was a treat! 🥹

Richard’s having a go at one of the older swans today. 😱 Not sure of 4ENG’s age. He’s paired with 4EOR, who is at least 10 years old, so possibly about the same. Feel bad for the youngster he barrelled into trying to run away! 😭😂

Ducklings! 🥹 I saw the family from the opposite side of the river, and took a detour to find them. And an Egyptian goose flew by from their direction. I think papa bird was expecting to find me at their usual spot for food. Sorry buddy. You should’ve stayed with the others! 😅

I’ve compared markings and I’m positive this is the same bird that had these young last year. Sadly, these little ones didn’t make it. Hopefully I’ll get to see the new ones grow!

I didn’t have this container for the food when I first met Alice last year. Not surprising that he popped his head straight into it at the first opportunity. 😂

@btobirds.bsky.social Is it possible to see records of other sightings for a specific bird? An old friend showed up today after being missing for months. Originally sent in my own sighting for him about a year ago. I’m curious to see where he’s been, if there’s any info!

Spotted a broken tag starting “4GG” on a swan in the river. He finally gets around the parent birds trying to chase him off and on land, giving me a better view of the missing letter. It’s an A. I HAVEN’T SEEN ALICE SINCE EARLY MAY AND HE HASN’T CHANGED A BIT! 🥹

Huh. Did not expect this to show up today. 😳 Can’t try it out yet as the Virtual Boy games release on the 17th, the day this should’ve arrived. But it feels solid and stable with the Switch 2 inside. Looking forward to playing next week! 😁

I’m disappointed, but not surprised we didn’t get even a sliver of FFVII news tonight. Fingers crossed for a reveal at Summer Game Fest. Happy with a new Kena game and God of War trilogy remake though!

Got pigeons on me. There are some pretty birds here. The more unique looking ones are usually shy, but this beauty I’ve seen a few times came up to me this morning. 🥰

Always gotta carry peanuts for the crows! This one in particular is quick to swoop over and see if I’ve got some. Then the swans spotted me and ended up all over the path. Richard was being grumpy with me, as usual. 😂

Richard and Elise are back at Pulls Ferry! 🥰 Of course he came straight over to hiss and nip at me until I fed him. And after I fed him. And while I was trying to give the other swans a share. 😂

Also had to rescue a gull that was kicking up a fuss because one of the other swans was standing on the poor thing’s foot. 🤦‍♀️😂

Saw a large flock of what I think were pink-footed geese flying over Norwich from Riverside towards the cathedral. Lots of noise. That was so cool to see.

Happened just before 10AM. Sadly I missed any chance to record it as by the time I had my phone ready they were mostly hidden by trees on the opposite side of the river. 😭

Thought this was Richard and Elise, until they got closer. A new pair of swans who I’ve seen a few times now in the last couple of weeks. I stopped recording too soon. Both greeted me like this multiple times shortly after. 🥹 Bonus male Egyptian goose doing chicken impressions again. 😂

The swan up front is one of the oldest I’ve met, being at least 10 years old now. Got the ring number from the other bird this morning. Will be interesting to see that report.

@btobirds.bsky.social Got an unusual metal ring number from a mute swan. All the ones I’ve reported before are two letters followed by four numbers. This one is six numbers. Is this correct? It’s identical in every other way. Never seen a fully numerical one before.

Posting Egyptian goose videos to Facebook is hilarious, if the birds are being noisy. It picks up some of their calls as words. Things Egyptian geese apparently say: “You.” “Up.” “Huh?” I’m feeling that last one. 😂

Richard the Jerk takes advantage of today’s high water level to climb out of the river and hiss at me. Just like old times. 🥹 Always good to see him and Elise. #swans #Norwich

Richard and Elise enjoying some special food this morning, and my favourite jerk asking for seconds! 🤭 I’m glad to see them looking so happy and energetic. Richard seems more himself since that hook was removed.
