Happy National 4-H Week to all the amazing young leaders in Minnesota 4-H and around the country! The Senate passed my bipartisan resolution with Senator Boozman celebrating this week and recognizing 4-H’s impact as it prepares 50,000+ Minnesota youth to lead in their communities.

I recognized Crystal and Justin Kasmiskie from Shakopee as this year’s Angels in Adoption Minnesota honorees. When a visa issue threatened to stop them from bringing their adopted twin sons home from Liberia, my office helped push their visas through.

Before calling someone a “dirtbag,” the Senator should have had his facts straight. An apology is in order. Glad one of us knew the difference between the Atlanta Hawks and the Iowa Hawkeyes!

Gold Star families have sacrificed so much on behalf of our nation.   I met with some of those families this week — whose loved ones died while serving in our armed forces — and heard their stories and about how TAPS provides support and hope.

I met with members of the Minnesota Transportation Alliance about the exciting projects strengthening transportation across our state. From highways to bridges to transit, these are the investments we need for the road ahead.

My bipartisan bill to strengthen the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool & Spa Safety Act has passed the Senate Commerce Committee.   Since the original law passed thanks to the advocacy of Abbey Taylor’s family there have been ZERO drain entrapment deaths in compliant pools.

Spoke with leaders from the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation about their work providing care to youth and adults fighting addiction in Minnesota and across the U.S. They show people — as former First Lady Betty Ford once said — that “there's not only help but there's hope for them.”

Honored to receive the 2026 Congressional Leadership Award from the Council of State Governments Justice Center. We’ve worked together to better address mental health crises and other reform issues.

Today marks 25 years since 9/11, when thousands of Americans were killed in an attack against our nation. We honor the courage of first responders and the memories of all who died, including Minnesota's own Gordon Aamoth Jr., Max Beilke, Tom Burnett Jr., and Gary Koecheler. We will never forget.

The Administration’s 50 percent tariffs on Canadian goods, along with Canada’s retaliatory tariffs that took effect today, will only make it harder for Minnesota businesses and farmers to compete and will further drive up prices for families.

Canada is Minnesota’s top trading partner. The Administration must end its trade war with one of our closest allies. I’ll continue to stand up for the U.S.-Canada relationship and Minnesota’s economy.

But after finding Google monopolized online advertising, today the court stopped short of ordering what the DOJ sought to undo this monopoly. That’s why Congress must act to restore competition and ensure journalists are paid their fair share.

Today we remember Harper Moyski and Fletcher Merkel, and hold their families, all those injured, and the entire Annunciation community in our hearts.   One year later, we honor everyone impacted by this tragedy by standing together, continuing to choose hope, and supporting one another.

Meta has finally agreed to put in place critical reforms to its platform like time limits on social media and restrictions on push notifications, and it will pay $17 billion for the harm it caused.

I’ve been taking on social media companies for years — from passing the bipartisan TAKE IT DOWN Act to stop the spread of sexually explicit deepfakes on social media to fighting to open the courtroom doors to parents harmed by Meta’s constant push to make money no matter the harm.

The recent cyberattacks on Minnesota water systems highlight the urgent need to protect our critical infrastructure. That's why I introduced the Water Cyber Shield Act to help local water systems strengthen their cybersecurity and defend against threats.

We’re marking 30 years of the Minnesota National Guard’s partnership with Croatia through the State Partnership Program.   To all our Minnesota service members and to our Croatian partners, thank you for your service and for making us stronger and safer. 🇺🇸 🇭🇷

Great spending time with our state office interns. Their energy and commitment to public service are a reminder that the future of our state is bright. I can't wait to see what they accomplish!

After the cyberattacks on Minnesota water systems, I introduced a new bill to improve water infrastructure cybersecurity and help municipal water systems defend against threats. Protecting Minnesotans & our critical infrastructure is a top priority.

There’s no U.S. Olympic Curling Team without Minnesota!    Great to join Coach Phill, our Mixed Doubles Silver Medalists — MN’s own Korey Dropkin & Cory Thiesse — and their teammates. Can’t wait for the next big win! 🥌 🇺🇸

I am committed to continuing to work with Chairman Boozman on this bill to get it done and there are good things in it for our farmers and ranchers, including year-round E-15, a provision I have long led on.

It still advantages high error rate states over states with mid-level error rates. A state with an error rate twice that of Minnesota will pay nothing in the second year, whereas states that have reduced their error rates will still be disadvantaged over high error rate states.

I am committed to continuing to work with Chairman Boozman on this bill to get it done and there are good things in it for our farmers and ranchers, including year-round E-15, a provision I have long led on.

As noted by the Chairman, the Agriculture Committee meeting remains open for further discussions on this bill. Today we also included a package of additional bipartisan amendments that I voted for and have long supported.

I also appreciate that the Chairman has acknowledged the problem with the SNAP cost shift to states and counties. But amid tariff-related rising grocery prices in states across the country where SNAP has been critical, this is only a one-year fix.

Our democracy depends on free & fair elections. The President’s Attorney General nominee Todd Blanche should be able to definitively say that he would not deploy armed federal agents to polling places, but he didn't. I oppose his nomination.

The US Postal Service has no role in deciding who can vote. The Supreme Court should reject President Trump’s latest demand to allow him to interfere with the ability of Washingtonians to vote by mail. (1/2)

Trump asked the Supreme Court to allow the administration to move forward with implementing a sweeping executive order aimed at mail voting that lower courts blocked in nearly two dozen states – setting up a major elections dispute at the high court months before the midterms. https://cnn.it/4x9vFSL

Big news for veterans health in Minnesota!   A new women’s clinic at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center is opening for the 10,000 women veterans they serve.   This new health center honors their service by helping make sure they can receive the care they need.

Met with young leaders representing Minnesota at American Legion Boys and Girls Nation — Carter Klein from Bloomington, Izu Ayika from Maple Grove, Greta Gronfeld from Johnson, and Mariam Al-Areedy from Sartell. Great to see high school students interested in public service – their future is bright!

Trump continues to wage an endless war that is driving up costs at home and putting our service members in jeopardy. No plan, no strategy, and no endgame is unacceptable. The American people have had enough of this deadly chaos.

Congressman John Lewis’ legacy reminds us that the pursuit of justice requires persistence. This week we remember him and mark six years since his passing. The torch he passed is in our hands and the work to protect Americans' freedoms continues, especially the right to vote.

BREAKING: I pressed the President’s Attorney General nominee Todd Blanche to commit to keeping federal agents out of polling places. Federal law is clear: the President does NOT have the authority to deploy armed federal officials to election sites.
