I’m an old woman facing new challenges every day. Now I must wonder - Will I be able to vote in November, as I did in 1964, without a current passport? What if I had an accent? I’d have to add fear of speaking aloud to the scary things an elderly woman faces. It’s not my America anymore.

What can an ordinary old citizen do these days? Vote? Speak up? Preaching to the choir is not productive. Speaking to someone you care deeply for who has been duped by the monster at the top takes energy that I, for one, am low on at 83.

@hcrichardson.bsky.social You said on today’s podcast with JF, “You go create your havoc over there. I’m going to make a better world.” Thank you. That reminded me to focus on the incredibly beautiful souls who are doing exactly that. And there are millions them/you.

How will a precious little brown skinned child in Chicago EVER get over having their hands zipped together in the middle of the night by masked “military men”? My heart breaks for these kids. For this country.

About 1 in 5 Republicans has confidence that Vladimr Putin will do the right thing regarding world affairs. This poll result suggests that millions of people think a dictator whose army murders children and rapes women is really a good guy. Right-wing propaganda is poisoning American minds.

I hope Rachel Maddow decides to continue her commentary beyond day 100!!
