One of the best parts of living in Tokyo is seeing Momoi tweet about a mini live and just going there. She's still got it, and there's nothing like being among the Momoists going all out during LOVE.EXE. Also helps that the new single she's promoting is a banger.

Gemini is both brilliant and dumb as a pile of rocks. It can take a bunch of Japanese legalese and translate it into English parsable enough to give me the general idea of the insurance contract I'm looking at, but it's absolutely stumped by the concept of multi-frame PNGs, making me do screencaps.

NEW LIGHT NOVEL ANNOUNCEMENT: Kino’s Journey A young traveler named Kino and a talking motorcycle named Hermes are on the journey of a lifetime! They visit different countries one after another, experiencing human nature and society in its many forms.

This is shaping up to be the show that I hoped C - Control would be. For the record, if you're watching graphs in real time, you're not investing, you're gambling. And the show is smart enough to know that and beat you over the head with it.

Got my residence card and just had it registered at the ward office. I'm now technically a Tokyoite! Now what's Japanese for "понаехали тут"?

All told less than 2 hours to register my residence, register for the national health insurance, register for the national pension system, and register for an exemption from the national pension system. I've spent longer waiting in line to get _into_ the DMV in CA.

It's kinda cool to be living in the future. I can pull a computer out of my pocket, use it to photograph an AC remote labeled in a foreign language, ask it how to use that remote to cool the room to a specific temperature, and get a set of instructions that make sense and work on the first try!

Had a dream about going through a combination job interview and mental health assessment that involved me playing through Civ V, which first needed to be recompiled to accommodate all the required mods.
