Did you see Lord Dampnut's assessment of his good buddy conservative, right wing Mr. Bolsonaro's electoral loss in Brazil recently? "Looks like another rigged election." No evidence, just that. In case you were wondering what he might say in a few days, or a couple of years, about US elections.

I think it would be comically apt if humans caused themselves to go extinct because of their myopic egoism, greed, indifference in the same way they caused so many other species to go extinct. I imagine alien children in some far-off time and land having a good laugh about that: a cautionary tale.

I would have thought conservative, Republican voters might take it as a feather in Lord Dampnut's cap when former president Obama said Lord Dampnut's renovations of the WH look like "Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory." You recall Mr. Hussein's gold-plated AK-47? And cheesecake?

Looks like authorities in the conservative, right wing, Republican, New Confederacy / Magatonia province of Floriduh are throwing the book at the 15 year old who did that mass shooting that left 12 injured including 6 children. They're very concerned about gun violence; charging the kid as an adult.

But I saw a post where someone quoted her saying she stands with sleaze bag Mr. Ramaswamy because she knows "white liberal women love lying about sexual assault."

Where do they get them from? Honestly. Is there something going on in the remote, provincial, rural parts of the USA we're not being told about? Are they dumping drugs? Nuclear waste? Were they doing some sort of experiment that escaped the lab? What?

Watched another Repub talking about how, if anything bad at all is happening, it was the Dems. How can anyone honestly expect Republicans to fix anything when they literally cannot take responsibility for anything they do? They're the weakest, most irresponsible people one will ever find.

Want to know one thing I think might help reduce the heat around US elections? No partial or piecemeal reporting of vote tallies, no horse race or sporting event commentary with partisan blowhards predicting who should win. Wait until it's over. Provide the results. Talk about the results.

The recently re-elected president of Brazil has announced the eminently sensible step of better regulating digital platforms and addressing digital crimes as equivalent to real-life crimes. Good idea, given the reality these days that DT and digital platforms play a major role in real life.

In news of the weird, how about the Green Party of the UK declaring "Zionism is racism" (it's surely dodgy theocratic claptrap of the highest order that may give rise to racism, but racism?) leading the Board of Deputies of British Jews to declare the Green Party a "racist party" for saying so.

I don't know why people can't or won't talk normally when it comes to the country of Israel, Jews as a cultural / social / ancestral grouping, Jews as an adherent of the religion of Judaism, or Jews as members of a made-up "semitic race." My goodness, the hot air could raise a mountain.

Looks like the voters of Brazil have fended off right wing populist challenger Bolsonaro II from the misleadingly misnamed Liberal Party that would have set Brazil back on the path of conservative, anti-liberal, right wing, Republican USA, but only just. Good for the voters of Brazil.

Did you see fascist Leader / crime boss / conservative, Republican president Lord Dampnut's responding to the question, "What are you hearing is the top issue for voters?" It was funny. He couldn't think of any issues, started talking about how he had "turned it all around." He doesn't know or care.

Did you catch Lord Dampnut telling his moronic minions, "It's going to be transgender for everybody ... as soon as they win." What's it even mean? "They" will be forcing us all to have sex-change operations? "They" will be assigning transgendered people to all of us to socialize with? What?

I like the way conservatives insert themselves into other people's gender and sexual orientation / identity issues, as for example right wing former rap singer Nicki Minaj explaining "We don't want to be bombarded with sex changes." You're being bombarded with them? You're not involved at all.

Reminds me of the old conservative, right wing rhetorical line "I don't care if people are gay ... as long as they don't bombard my delicate sensibilities by letting on that they're gay, talking gay, kissing or holding hands with their gay friends, getting married, etc. If they're invisible to me."

I want to play that game too, seems great fun. "I don't mind if people are conservatives, Republicans, as long as they don't vote conservative, Republican; talk about conservative, Republican issues; act like conservatives, Republicans; look like conservatives, Republicans."

Some good news. Looks like Serbia's "right wing populist" (i.e. fascist, as conservative, Republican in the USA) leader Vucic has conceded the election to an opposition involving a "student-led protest movement." Good for Serbia. Now watch for Brazil, USA, France, UK, Germany, others.

I wonder if people fully appreciate the role of anti-democracy bad economics in the conservative style promoted and distributed through academic economic departments in the simplistic anti-democracy, pro-fascism, pro-plutocracy sentiments of powerful right wing "tech bro" technocrats? #EconSky

One thing seems abundantly clear: When the going gets tough, the conservative, Republican solution is to go ever lower. Fascists are like that. They don't know any other way.

Someone told me a while ago now young people can't really read anymore and I found it rather unlikely, but looking at my feed now, mostly images (AI and other), GIFs, memes, big letter posters, cartoons, that sort, is it true people can't or don't like to actually read anymore? Sad.

On flawed economic policy, as flawed developmental and distributional policy, leading to illegal immigration for economic reasons, how about news from South Africa, the largest economy in the region, where a gang of about fifty presumably poor nativists recently beat some random immigrant to death?

I found it quite sad. Is South Africa turning into the USA or the UK now? They're going to set up roving gangs of struggling vigilante nativists trying to murder random poor immigrants trying to survive, as anyone would, while rich people laugh at the lot of them? Will they be donning white cloaks?
