i think a fundamental misunderstanding a lot of progressives have when it comes to talking points around abortion, trans healthcare and sexual consent is that there’s some sort of miscommunication happening about how these practices save lives.

I think most people do know they save lives, but a large portion of the population think that physical punishment is what we deserve as women and enjoy to see it happen. they want people to die in childbirth and at their own hands due to circumstance. that’s literally the point.
