finally my years of minecraft redstone training has paid off. day 24 is all binary logic gates #AdventOfCode

finally a brute force-able solution for day 18 part 2 (i also love Dijkstra's algorithm) #AdventOfCode

day 17 is done, today was pretty cool. i was able to implement a brute-force-ish solution to part 2 but, much, much faster. part 2 ran in ~300ยตs, thanks to moving in reverse, bitwise shifting, and only using 0-7 kyle.so/writing/aoc-2024 #AdventOfCode

Out of curiosity, i calculated roughly how long a truly brute force solution would take to run (on my machine with my input) and it would take ~380 days. this is ~2 seconds per 10,000,000 numbers. my answer is ~164 trillion. crazy
