I don't know what the dummies hear when he comes right out and says stuff about how rich he, his family & friends are getting. Do the audience members space out? Do they think they're not smart enough to understand, or have they been conditioned to doubt themselves, their ability to understand?

Do they really think he's a smart man? "I saw what he was like on that show., and that's what we need in a president." And of course there are the angry men who laugh and punch like it's an audition to join Trumps inner circle, the "We" the president openly speaks of getting so rich.

Oh, but it won't be done November 3rd. It will only be done, let's hope, on January 3rd when every elected Democrat is supposed to get seated in the House.

"McCumber is widely respected for his integrity and faithful adherence to the Constitution and is reputed to be unwilling to carry out orders he considers to be unconstitutional. However, the Speaker of the House has unilateral power to remove and replace him temporarily with whomever he wishes..."

newrepublic.comThe Final Battle for America’s DemocracyForget November 3. It’s January 3 when Donald Trump and his MAGA Republicans might bury our democracy once and for all. Here’s how.

1000 Epstein victims have come forward, and our Attorney General can see no evidence that human trafficking ever occurred...

Settle down, America. That plane Trump accepted, that was just shrewd practicality. He'll need it ready at a moment's notice for when he flies off to South America.

MAGA-themed stores are closing. But it's a great time to take advantage of pricing and stock up on merch, you know, for the third term. The best deals are on baby clothes and beer cozies.

Having a masters in American history and having formerly been a comedy teacher, I feel uniquely qualified to say: Kennedy was sharper with insightful, perfectly timed one-liners. But no president can sustain a bit longer or as effectively as Barack Obama.

J.D. stood outside the locker room of his favorite sports team for how long, waiting in vain for any player to come shake his hand? It was like the D.C. donut shop all over again. He honestly, pathetically, thought being V.P. was going to make him popular.

He's not going to die, you know. His body, yes. They'll throw that out, preserve the head in liquid nitrogen, and, as needed, bring it out, dry it off, and animate it, like they did with Reagan and Walt Disney and the Koch Brothers...

They may even work up some Sophia-like body, but that of a superhero to go along with his super intelligent head... When did our world become a comic book?

Some look around the world and see everything and everyone as just raw materials with which to manufacture a desired product. In Vivek Ramaswamy's case, the desired product is a senate seat.

That Vivek Ramaswamy can heartlessly see people and tragedy as mere consumable materials to achieve his own desired outcome is exactly why I would not want him representing any interest or need of genuine human beings.

I sometimes spend a ridiculous amount of time seeking the right word, the one that sounds right, that has the specific nuance of meaning. I often write several versions of a single sentence, judging each for cadence and the right order of presentation, before making a selection.

AI may imitate the final product in a two-dimensional way, like vinyl and plastic in the '70s and '80s captured the look of wooden-bodied station wagons from the '30s and '40s, but it will never possess and reflect the living experience of actually having been a tree.

I break a paragraph down into individual sentences, considering each against of the others. 1 paragraph divides into 2, like cell division, or one consumes & absorbs another. A passage may get worked over a half dozen times on different days, different moods, before it becomes what it can become.

When he talks of a government fraud hotline, he cannot fathom that people would actually call to report him. He's rambles on in his echo chamber for so long, he forgets... um... reality... and that real people see the emperor wears no clothes.

No-excuse-needed in-person voting in Missouri started on Tuesday. I voted Tuesday morning. You have till November 3rd to vote. If you haven't already, why not go vote today? P.S. Do a little homework first. Make sure you know everything on the ballot & how you're voting on each before going to vote.

Remember the fair-districting we finally got into the Missouri constitution got lost because uninformed voters, mistakenly thinking they were sticking it to lobbyists, went back to the polls two years later and gave districting right back to one party.

Write it down and take it with you if you need to. Do not trust that you can just figure it all out in the booth. They hope to benefit from misleading rage-bait voting.

So now Trump wants to rename New Mexico "New America." Do we also change New York and New Hampshire because we aren't England any longer? What about states named for English royalty? Wait till he learns most states are named for indigenous tribes.

We're going to have so many states renamed "Trump" -- East Trump, West Trump, North Trump, South Trump... starting with Washington, because George isn't president any more.

"Can't make someone do what you want? Just digitally clone them. Treat the clone as them and just ignore the real person." We all in "The Stepford Wives" now.

It is a diseased part of the American psyche, from frontiersmen fictions and Wild West dime novels to Gary Cooper in High Noon, Dirty Harry, Red Dawn, to our current fixation on super heroes: the hope for a sole individual to emerge with special powers or a tool to mete out immediate justice...

instead of steady reliance upon intelligent policies and precautions. How will we manipulate circumstances to manufacture poster heroes if we don't place innocent people in harm's way?

I don't care if it suits some's political expediency. She stalked, followed, and hounded student survivors of a school shooting that took the lives of teachers and classmates, demanding that they confess that they were paid liars, all to make alternative facts conform with a wild conspiracy theory.

I've not heard her say she was wrong then. She has not experienced a conversion. To her, truth is only a desperate option. Like Graham and Rubio and Vance, MTG only reaches for truth when on the outside. She would not be saying it if still on the inside.

Some people are actually questioning why we didn't just purchase additional diesel from our border and infrastructure neighbor Canada instead of Russia. That's a stupid question. How would that benefit Vladimir Putin?

Rigged. The Nobel Committee awarded the Peace Prize to someone who promoted peace and international law. If that's the criteria under which they were limiting themselves, then no wonder Trump never had a chance.

He is a great champion of peace for not having gone to war with most countries, just as he is a great protector of women because most women he meets he does not rape.

The photographic camera freed artists from having to capture objective reality and could now paint images of subjective human perception, i.e. Impressionism, Cubism, etc... AI efficiently replaces the artist's subjective human perception with a synthesized one that many humans appear satisfied with.

As Orwell's Winston notes while overhearing a washerwoman sing while working: "Who knew a song written by a machine could sound so pretty?" But what are we willing to surrender for artistic efficiency?

Renee Good's family is suing the federal government and immigration officials. Wouldn't it be something if this is what finally gets all these little cosplayers thrown in prison like they deserve?

We can't blame gerrymandering for us ending up with a senator like Eric Schmitt. He won in a state-wide election. We just like voting for stupid in Missouri. It's apparently what we best relate to.

House Speaker Mike Johnson is begging God to rapture him up before the midterm elections. I'm not normally one to join in with hopes and prayers, but what could it hurt?

Cornell has me remembering... I attended the protest for Daisy in Maryville following the DA seeing too much gray area to prosecute a popular athlete from an influential family. The bullying of Daisy by the people of the town was relentless. We thought Daisy had survived the worst & made it through.
