Happy National Coming Out Day! Coming Out is more than today it’s a lifetime commitment to authenticity in the face of fascism, it is a lifelong journey of deciding when, where, and who is safe enough to share a queer identity with.

We fight for those who will fight for us and that’s why we need people like Brad Chambers in office. We have an opportunity to make real change by electing Brad Chambers on November 3rd, but it’s going to take work.

Conversations like these ones encourage continued co-governance between LSU and our future elected officials and allow community members to ask the hard questions of our leaders about the changes that impact day to day life in Lancaster!

State House candidates Jess Branas of the 97th legislative district, Brad Chambers of the 41st legislative district, and incumbent Nicki Rivera of the 96th legislative district answered LSU and audience submitted questions about the issues that impact YOU as Lancaster county residents.

Candidates discussed housing, data centers, energy usage, healthcare, taxes, education and more. They shared their visions for the future of the district and the actions they are currently taking to move the needle towards a more equitable future for the county’s districts.

Knocking on doors is the most effective tool we have to elect endorsed candidates who will co-govern with us and look out for working peoples’ interests. Candidates like Brad Chambers, who’s running to be the Representative for PA’s 41st district.

In Lancaster County, most of us believe voters should pick our leaders, but this regime is trying to keep people from voting based on our races, backgrounds and genders so that they can control the outcome of our elections and ensure they win.

We are halfway through September and we still have so much work ahead of us! From mass meetings, town halls, canvassing, and important municipal meetings- the rest of September is booked and busy! Make sure to mark your calendars, bring a friend, and get ready to get busy with us!
