I've been told I have a purposeful stride. Here to shout about things I like.

I really need streamers to stop putting Edward Scissorhands as a Halloween movie. That’s a Christmas movie, it’s literally about how the town got snow.

Really learning this week the Skarsgard algorithm fortress I have built up because multiple people I know haven’t even heard of the movie Wicker and I can’t open anything without seeing Hot Basket Man or press tour clips

#DWTS 10 Things tribute was wonderful and touching, Save the Last Dance one was cool as hell. But please, Julia Stiles, I need you to complete this trilogy with a Bourne [Stuntacular??] dance

#YouCanSeeEverything is the first movie I can recall checking the time because I was hopeful that there was a lot of time left for what was introduced on screen

I love how #Tenzing had all these special FYC screenings in NYC, pseudo-premieres, plastered promo all over their socials only to have it open in one (1) theater in Williamsburg before streaming. It stinks!

Just starting #VisionQuest - it’s a little funny that the old timey flashback theater is a conceit it shares with the Elizabeth Olsen movie “Eternity”

Watched Guardians of the Galaxies Vol 1 & 2 on my flight - Disney+ makes the perplexing choice to close caption Vol 2 with the titles of each needle drop, even going so far to caption the lyrics of “Father and Son” but the 1st movie, each song is “(Rock Music Plays)”, seems like something to fix

I am rewatching WandaVision ostensibly I guess because of VisionQuest coming up and man it was really great when the MCU had writers who respected the significance of ”The Blip”/return of the dusted characters. And Elizabeth Olsen is just so good.

In my opinion Democrats get nothing nothing NOTHING by betraying trans people. They hurt themselves with a good deal of their committed voter base, and still don’t get the Republican votes they are so fucking obsessed with winning over. Lose-lose! People hate voting for squishy moral cowards!!

Worth mentioning sometimes the competition to ask first was grueling.

Or local not-Blockbuster let people claim posters and standees via first-come first-served request—if you asked first, they’d put your name/number on the back or on a white sticker to call when they were done.I have SO MANY posters from circa 1998-2004. And a beloved 6 ft vinyl TITANIC ON VHS banner

To the producers of this era of #ProjectRunway: We don’t want to watch the players and judges be assholes to each other, we just want creative designs and the contestants to have the budget and time to realize them. 🤦‍♀️

Just saw #Babylon in 70mm. I loved it when I saw it on a cold Jan. 2023 day but this gorgeous showing w/a full enthusiastic crowd was next level.Jean Smart’s monologue killed me & the ending was overwhelming (complimentary). Shout out to the girls who kicked off the applause to Nelly & Fay’s kiss.

Went to see The End of Oak Street (🔥😍) starring Anne Hathaway. I come home and watch Anne Hathaway accept her Disney Legend award at #D23. On Saturday I will see The Odyssey in Imax for the third time, starring Anne Hathaway. There is One Actress.

Joking about the mess of a presentation aside, this ride has me legitimately excited

Has anyone done “adjusted for inflation” calculations on Spider-man, Odyssey, etc regarding their box office “records”? Like I enjoyed both and it’s great it’s driving people to theaters but the numbers being higher than older movies when ticket prices have grown *exponentially* feels disingenuous

I’ve no emotional attachment to Practical Magic—it’s fun, it’s fine—but the recasting of the daughter to be younger instead of keeping Evan Rachel Wood legit sucks. All because the leads don’t want to accept they, too, aged? Would totally take me out of it, such a sour note. (The ads have started).

Still thinking about the border collie that flopped his head on my lap on my bus commute after work. Extremely great bus ride, 10/10, more sweet dogs on my commute please.
