Andy Burnham to scrap voluntary Digital ID programme. There goes the idea to move towards the EU since the EU has brought it into law that all countries must introduce it voluntarily too from this year. Darren Jones was in charge of that. What a farce! @andyburnham.bsky.social

Just announced: A landmark trade deal with Switzerland.🇨🇭 🇬🇧 “This is the sixth trade deal we’ve secured in two years, making life easier and creating more opportunity for people across the U.K.” Keir Starmer @andyburnham.bsky.social Don’t take credit for this as well.

Did some research. These are all bills that passed in Parliament and got Royal Assent already except two which are in the works. Burnham is making out they are his new policies to get support. And this guy wants to become leader and a prime minister? What a joke. @andyburnham.bsky.social

“The party is expected to organise online sessions for members with Burnham once he becomes leader.” Disgusting behaviour. No wonder members are disgruntled and many are leaving the party. Very undemocratic. Yayks! @andyburnham.bsky.social www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Ok, I listened to Andy Burnham’s speech reluctantly as when I look at him I just see the conniving coup that was happening since 2024. There are so many unanswered questions. Not impressive enough.  If devolution is the way to revolutionise the economy he’s going to need more than 10 years.

The country doesn’t need a populist it needs a good statesman, a serious man that has to deal with the likes of Trump and Xi Xinping.  I really hate how they stabbed Keir Starmer in the back after he got them elected. I believe Andy will get unpopular by Christmas due to foreign shocks.

What is bothering me the most is democracy is gone within the Labour Party. All MP’s have accepted him as a leader before anyone could come forward. They’re pushing him onto us members without us having a say, who our leader is with no contest.

This hope nonsense will not get us anywhere. Promises will be broken, monetary problems will be the same within the treasury.  The £110 billion a year that this country has to pay in debt interest just for borrowing is immense.

Not one mention on energy costs, inflation, tax, foreign policy, immigration, cost of living. What it is to regenerate growth.  There will be cobwebs in no 10 before we see another No 10 in Manchester.  It was a Boris Johnson Deja Vu.

The speech is repackaged existing policy, already with Royal Assent, and already in the manifesto and/or underway. Is Burnham just hoping the rest of us don’t know? The only new thing was Manchester No 10, although even that may be a building already put in progress by Starmer.

#TheLabourParty According to the New Statesman and the Guardian U.K. they have been plotting this Coup pretty much since the General Election. A plan was certainly well underway by May 2025. The fact that cabinet ministers have also colluded with him is truly shocking.

I am ashamed of the party, this is worse than anything the Tories did. Latest rumour is that Al Carns will listen to the Ego's statement tomorrow and then decide if he is going to challenge. But the party is desperately trying to shut a contest down.

No one seems interested in what the membership thinks. You would think this is a good media story, but no one is picking it up. So now we know why @lucympowell stayed silent and not shown her face since she won. Hence why they never promoted the work Starmer was doing.
