Study now vs exactly one year ago; 8ish hours each time I like to work more brushstroke heavy these days than smooth render, but worth doing it again for the comparison!

Here the timelapse; realism to me is primarily about patience, since you don't have to think about stylizing a reference or any other sort of shape design. I try to build a good foundation to paint, and then chip away at the rest
