"What was your biggest impact on the internet?" Designed lots of internet infrastructure in silicon― cryptographic processors to secure internet traffic. Also made a gay furry webcomic that turned a bunch of people into furries. 🦝🦊

"what was your biggest impact on the Internet?" This little guy

I had an energizing, uplifting time at #BLFC2026! The staff was super nice. I'm grateful for all the time with friends dining, art jamming, dancing, and just hanging. And a shoutout to Weenie! Idk your @ but thanks for sayin 'hi' 🤭

I have an insane amount of technical breadth. My employer has used me to architect & design awesome silicon platforms and to lead dev teams to successful completion. They've also used me to put out fires in their shitty dyfunctional stack of legacy. Guess which one they usually use me for? 🔥😦🙁☹️☹️

My org has been running "lean and mean" for so long that we've incurred mountains of technical debt. Institutional knowledge to address it was lost thru attrition and layoffs. I could be doing amazing stuff but I'm stuck keeping the ancient products limping along because no one else here can. H8 IT!

"Large 👕 please." "Will it fit? Don't you want to spread it out to check?" "Ok." ✅ "Yeah, large." "Are you SURE you don't want a bigger one?" Are u trying to tell me something? 🤨

Every door one opens into new domain knowledge reveals more hidden doors. Only through broad study can one appreciate the things they don't know. The more I learn, the more expansive the map of my own ignorance grows. This "ignorance map" is incredibly useful. [1/2]

It is a framework upon which to expand one's mental models. It helps one ask better questions. It is a landscape of possibilities for dedicated study. It protects one from being bamboozled by any trickster who aims to exploit pride and ignorance. It is epistemically humbling. [2/2]

I'm sharing my first painting studies! I studied fundamentals by copying environment pieces by an experienced artist: @animalshapes.bsky.social. Study #1 - mountains, atmosphere, water: I blocked out big color groups (shapes) before getting prematurely distracted by detail. Left it as a WIP.

The piece I chose for my third study was the most complex. The original art by @animalshapes.bsky.social had fantastic details. Study #3 - buildings and dynamic lighting. I couldn't recreate the original art's amazing details but I could reinterpret and simplify them into something that works.

I wanted to share these studies to illustrate the PROGRESSION of learning a new skill. Trying something new feels awkward and you will stumble. But you integrate what you've learned and try again. You'll be competent before you know it. Thanks to @animalshapes.bsky.social for the inspiring art.

For my next study I made sure to block out the major shapes before delving into details. Edge control was a struggle, executed haphazardly. But the result is still readable. Study #2 - rocks, grass, and clouds: I tried to copy brushwork by the original artist (@animalshapes.bsky.social) verbatim.

The rare, elusive Sierra Nevada red fox. The original and best mountain fopsy that you'll never see. 🐾🦊

here's a fun question for you: what would your fursona be if it had to an animal that *actually lives in your area*? hard mode: no domesticated animals with a consequentially global range--that would mean, for example, canid and ungulate species have to be species actually found in the wild

Fun answers for "How old are you?" - born around the Fall of Saigon - older than Jaws the movie - just missed the Nixon presidency - old as the Beatles' divorce paperwork

I had the delightful realization that today I'm doing all the things I loved doing as a kid, just with more sophistication and breadth. I didn't have to change much in adulthood. It's a blessing.

I'm effectively too old to immigrate to Canada unless I were to become fluent in French, in which case I'd have a pretty strong application. Qui veut me parler français ? 😏🍁

President addresses the nation about electron fraud. We had a perfectly good energy barrier. Very strong barrier. Then electrons just appeared on the other side. "Scientists" always talking about hidden variables and quantum tunnelling. They admit there's a tunnel! These electrons are rigged! ⚛︎

I went to my first rock concert in 1991. The magic of hearing live music from one of the most influential rock bands in history took a strange turn when Axl Rose went on a homophobic rant about how he saw two guys kissing, whipping the whole crowd into an angry frenzy. [1/2]

Then he dived into the crowd to grab a fan's camera, insulted us, stormed off the stage, and fans erupted into a full-scale riot, destroying the brand new amphitheater until cops came to tear gas us. This is peak USA energy. [2/2]

An alumni booklet from my HS came with a 2pg spread featuring the grossest bully writing about the importance of character and that "how you treat people, that's who you are." 100% agreed. He was a real piece of shit. Today, I hope his actions match his rhetoric and that he's living his best life. 🕊️

I've been too busy to draw a comic out this #makeaterriblecomicday, so here's a throwback from late 2009; a 12th grade highschool assignment referencing a Burger King commercial, featuring characters from @leafdubois.com's 2000s comic, Raccoony!

People misspell my name all the time when replying to my messages. Every darned day. So I've devised a clever way to help everyone spell my (or anybody's) name correctly: Step 1. Look at how the sender spells their name in the message or email that you're replying to. Step 2. Spell it like that.

Uh-oh. I volunteered to be my niece and nephew's investment guru. I'm gonna make educational materials for them. It could also be a useful topic for Zorori to share his knowledge with the fandom. Like it or not, money is important. We work our whole lives for it, we should know how to manage it. 💰

I actually think Zorori would boycott the 2026 World Cup, its politics are shady af. But I drew the line art for this comic 21 years ago and I felt like coloring it, so enjoy!

It's impossible to find a restaurant that serves my childhood comfort foods so I had to learn how to make them myself! Savory soy milk soup (鹹豆漿), meat-stuffed pancakes (餡餅), and crispy sesame scallion bread (芝麻大餅). The soy milk is home-made. Next up: sesame flatbread (燒餅) and fried breadstick (油條).
