Intense week. Lots of recording, Lilia going back to university tomorrow, still in pain from dentist so picked up a ticket to Tottenham v Villa and on train there now. Nothing like maximum punishment

Well that's a first. Just checked my Apple Watch and saw my step count go DOWN right in front of my eyes. Not impressed! My 1,185 day streak for steps is going to need a little more work.

Well that's the first two OS 27 shows recorded and locked in. First one out next Friday, reckon I might actually get a little relax this weekend. Maybe. Boot Fair Sunday morning apparently

Decided I really need to be doing more on Bluesky. Been neglecting things here and social media in general.

Listening to an 80's mix while I edit the OS 27 videos and have just remembered how in love I was with Debbie Gibson at the age of 10. Very much in love. Better than Tiffany all day long.

On the whole I was impressed with the Apple Event yesterday - the Duo looks great, but not a device I've been desperate for. Steady if predictable updates to Pro/Pro Max (no Orange! Makes me sad). Watch updates are solid, although Siri Recap and Live Rewind are definitely controversial

Wasting a day. Earlier this morning, whilst recording the videos for OS27 release, I was unable to capture system audio from iOS/iPadOS when I was able to just yesterday. Kind of a pain when the flagship feature is Siri. Usually so good at troubleshooting but blanking today.

Once more I carve out some time to work with Claude on some busy work and it's down. It's like having an assistant that spends more time off sick than working with you. To the point where my calendar always has a back-up option should it be down. Needs to get better.

Maxed out my Claude limit today for first time in a while. I see it as he's knackered, clocking off for the day so I'm cracking on with something else instead. Strange days but so much fun.

I never thought I'd say these words, but I kind of like email again. One reason I've been using Apple Mail for so long is that it's so user-unfriendly, it makes you get in and out as quick as possible. Damn you MailMaven. You need to suck a little more.

Peek behind the scenes. Today, I've started recording my video on MailMaven. Seem to be discovering more every time I finish a section. This is going to be long going! (This is like the Bloom one - enjoying the app too much).

Every week in my newsletter, I share a Quick Tip. A recent one has been absolutely revolutionary for me. Command and backtick to scroll through open windows in your current app. As someone who has multiple Numbers and ScreenFlow files open all day, it's killer. Wish I knew it earlier.

Working with Claude Cowork to restructure how I track shows, show topics in Obsidian and link things nicely together. I'm pretty certain it's going to throw some expletives my way soon and tell me to do it myself if I think I can do better (I can't…) Lots of fun. Nearly there though.

Using Claude Coworker to help rebuild my Obisidian infrastructure is blowing my mind with the time it's saving. And asking it to explain everything it's doing for me is educating me too. So very impressed

Took the good lady to the Banksy Limitless experience in London today. Just wow. Recommend it so much. How I didn't realise he designed the cover of one of my favourite albums I'll never know

Yep - Claude Cowork does indeed seem quite handy. Trying to work out how best to implement which seems to be a question I've been asking of every service that's come out in the last twelve months. Overwhelm coming? Hopefully not. Definitely lots of overlap though

Apps that have been on my radar recently include ExtraBar and Updatest - these really remind me there's an amazing indie development world out there that needs supporting.

I can actually see a point in the future where we are not dedicated to one browser. In fact, I think that future is currently my present. Researching these browsers for SCO has been so eye-opening.

So here's me. Was using Arc as my browser, and moved to Dia. Last week, I recorded a video on Orion, by Kagi. Thought it was great. Currently playing with Comet by Perplexity for another video, and find myself wanting to switch to that. Too Much Choice

Kind of regretting this video I'm doing on Orion. Not because it's a bad app. It's great. I just seemed to get carried away with the amount of stuff I recorded and editing is taking an age!

And....looks like we're back. So if you are having difficulty accessing ScreenCastsONLINE, a litCloudflarece with a few retries may be needed as things equalise. That does not seem to have been a good Maintenance Window for Cloudflare sadly.

All this time, I've been bemoaning the fact I can't have local links in Notion. Today, I realised that copying links as Universal Links with Hookmark, allows you to paste them into Notion - and they work! Workflow - revolutionised.

Been using the Vision Pro for working at home for a few days now to force the habit, with Mac Virtual Display, to see if repetition helps. I'm at a stage where it feels - natural - now to use it. Built some nice workflows for window sizing, widgets. Next stop - can I edit videos effectively….

For the contract I'm on, I thought I'd work with the tools they use so running a small project with OneNote as my note system, and Copilot alongside. Far better than I was expecting. OneNote has grown well

Whilst there is some negativity around the new OS versions, now they have finally dropped for the masses, I find them fresh, fun and have enjoyed them for months. I think CarPlay looks almost brand new and is underrated. And my friends think iOS 26 looks and feels great, so interesting times.

After spending the last six months solely working with ChatGPT, I've been using Claude over the last couple of days. There are some admin elements for the videos that it takes care of better than ChatGPT for sure. Very much enjoying it

Working on my outline for the ScreenCastsONLINE dives into iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 now I've returned from holiday and feel safe having them on my personal devices (I never put betas on when travelling). I'm thoroughly enjoying them both and personally think Liquid Glass is at the sweet spot now.
