Minor ending spoilers I finished playing The Blood of Dawnwalker today. That was a good game. I got all stressed about the timer, so I prioritised going after the boyars, and they were all dead before I got a third of the way through 😆 Maxed out Brencis' hate meter. Got the fanciest of fancy armor.

Romanced all three of the options. Had a lot of fun disrupting and helping. Wound up going with Crake and the rebels so now there's another rich jackass in charge which made me wish I'd just kicked Brencis' head in myself. But otherwise it was a pretty good ending.

Cuddles and I first bonded over Dragon Age. We walked down the aisle to Journey to Skyhold. I can't go through every moment of their games that stays with me (god-fucking-dammit Anders!) but I suffice it to say that bioware.bsky.social games are inescapably intertwined in my life and my marriage.

I've been playing Bioware games since way back at the start, and I've happily followed their folk to new studios and new games but knowing there was always another BioWare game coming was comforting, somehow. And that ME: Universe looked amazing. Matriarch Liara and her Shadow Spectres.

Cuddles and I were talking recently about how fast EA, with their new Saudi money, would shut down BioWare. The LGBTQ+ friendly studio is always the first to go when the money comes from bigots. EA have been a shining example of what's wrong with gaming for a long time. Same shit, different day.

But maaaaan I was also just talking last week about how awesome a Jade Empire remaster would be. Also I was laying plans to replay all the DA games - still doing that once I finish the current game, but now I guess it's a farewell. Many former BioWare devs are already elsewhere doing cool stuff.

Our Doofus dog is getting old, as I've said. She's recently started having trouble getting out of the kitchen door before peeing. OK, fine, tile floor, easy to clean, it happens. But it's a few times a week now. And tonight she didn't even get downstairs - she peed on my leg pillow 🤦

And it's fine, pillows can be cleaned, but she was so upset she didn't even want to come for her cuddles (which happens right where the pillow normally is), I had to coax her as close as I could then meet her there. She's always been an "out morning and night" girl but we're gonna add another.

I love how terrified Trump is if Ilhan Omar's headscarf. That man can't hold a single thought for half a second but he's *obsessed* with her. Of all his fucking nutballs behaviour, this might amuse me the most. (Caveat that often if I don't laugh I'll cry so I have to find something)

Alright! So I ak Officially Allergic to nickel (which we expected), palladium, and myroxylon pereirae. That last one explains some issues I've had before but didn't know what the exact cause was, so that'll be helpful going forward. Next step: call Monday and get appointment with the foot surgeon

It's only talen us a touch over 5yrs but Cuddles and I finally have actual, proper wedding rings 😆 We'd had to buy cheap initially for the service, and they were not good and also see nickel allergy for me, and hers stopped fitting well after a few months (so I stole it to wear on my index finger)

Oof. I have the patches off my back and there are some real fun things happening there! I am itchy as fuck and growing various hives. And I cannot wash it or scratch til after Saturday's appointment 😭 The dr will go thru it properly then but he's already confirmed the nickel allergy for sure.

Alright! I have been patch tested (my entire back is now covered in patches, tape and marker 👍), covid & flu boosted, and therapied! I am officially in too much pain to anything now. Fortunately Cuddles is letting me stay home tomorrow while she gets her blood tests done so I can get a rest day.

Ahhh next week is gonna be buuuusy. Between the two of us we have 7 appointments. Flu & covid jabs for us both; 3 patch test appointments & first therapy appt for me; and blood tests & dr appt for Cuddles

The patch tests are all taking place about half an hour's drive away from the other, more local, appointments and 2 of them are the same days as other things. Provided nothing runs *too* late it's doable but the logistics are a pain and I am super anxious.
