Sauron's gone full monster mode 🦖💚 I tried out slime effects on this one, layering greens from deep jungle shadow up to bright toxic highlights. The wings really reward the time you put in. A spooky-season reshare, painted last Halloween 🎃 #MarvelUnited #XMen

Heh… you call it painting. I call it spreading the red 🩸 Every tendril's got a story, and they're all messy. The reds still pop like fresh blood in the moonlight. Painted last year, resharing for spooky season 🎃 #MarvelUnited #MiniaturePainting

The moon rises, and the hunt begins 🌕🐺 Werewolf by Night was my first time using Speedpaints as a base layer. Fur and muscles looked great before a single highlight. Painted last year, just missing Halloween. Resharing him for spooky season 🎃 #MarvelUnited #MiniaturePainting

My Blood Bowl squires keep dying. I keep painting them anyway 🛡️ Another coat of red on the Holy Hand Grenadiers. Mid tones, highlights, skin and bases still to go, but they're visiting the dugout in team colors. lefthandedminis.com/grenadiers/ #BloodBowl #MiniaturePainting

Blitz Bowl finally hit the table 🏈 Humans vs Skaven. Back and forth until a short pass and run for a touchdown, then a couple well-timed bonus cards snowballed into a mercy rule win for the Humans. Painted teams in play just hit different. Now: how many teams is too many? #BlitzBowl

Silent in the tunnels… until it's too late 🐀 My gutter runner landed somewhere between stealth assassin and pickpocket at an S&M convention, which feels very Skaven. Speedpaints to shade the cloak, Fanatics to push it, and an eerie green glow on the base. #BloodBowl

Some problems can't be negotiated. They just get stared down. I wanted Wrex to read less like a victory pose and more like a pause between firefights. Dusty, desaturated reds, leathery krogan skin, and a quiet lava base underfoot 🔥 #MassEffect #MiniaturePainting

In the quiet between heartbeats, the symbiote whispers… 🕸️ Blue highlights on black, the old comic artist trick to make black feel glossy and alive. I pushed a subtle blue glow into the tendril ridges so the suit reads as more than flat black. #MarvelUnited #MiniaturePainting

Mikey's my favorite turtle, but the mini didn't do him justice at first. So I fixed it 🛹 I scratch-built a skateboard and rigged it so he looks like he's flipping or catching it mid-fight. That one prop brought the whole mini to life. #TMNT #MiniaturePainting

Snapped a three-game skid in Blood Bowl 🏈 2–1 over a goblin team, back to 2–3. Their troll threw a teammate downfield for a touchdown. Respect. Both our scores came off the same Rogerin-to-Nezot pass. The price: five casualties and one very dead squire. RIP Ortrun Heinz. #BloodBowl

Galactus came to devour the Earth… and we sent him packing* 🌍 Six of us, a huge purple Galactus, zombies everywhere. Wolverine and Venom tanked, Quicksilver ran the objectives. *We died to a zombie ambush, took a mulligan, and won anyway. No shame. Epic fun. #MarvelUnited

Sometimes the smallest anomaly becomes the biggest problem… Spot was a fun puzzle. The trick was making his rocket trail vanish into a spot on his side and burst out through his hand, like the mini is telling its own visual joke. #MarvelUnited #MiniaturePainting

Gold halos, antler crests, slate blue armor. Highlight night on my Blood Bowl Bretonnians, working up armor edges and capes. Bases still to go 🦌 Painting station: 15% off with code lefthanded at krydrufi.com/oqk05a (affiliate link, helps keep the team in paint 🙌) #BloodBowl #MiniaturePainting

Rhino: all momentum and muscle, charging through problems instead of solving them 🦏 My first mostly monochromatic mini. No color crutches, just shadows, midtones and highlights doing the storytelling. Surprisingly fun, and I'll be back to it. #MarvelUnited #MiniaturePainting

Skaven don't believe in teamwork. They believe in speed, chaos, and getting clear before something explodes 🐀 Purple armor pops against the grimy fur, but the base is my favorite part: a rat charging through glowing warpstone sludge like it's just another Tuesday. #BloodBowl

Tali'Zorah vas Normandy: fully sealed in her suit, and somehow still one of the most expressive characters in Mass Effect 💜 Favorite part: soft green and pink pushed into the visor for an inner glow that feels alive without stealing the scene. #MassEffect #MiniaturePainting

Blood Bowl Matchday 4: 0–2 to the Tomb Kings Entourage, dropping us to 1–3 ☀️ Four Tomb Guardians with Regeneration, and we took down exactly zero of them. Their thrower Takatenus scored both. That gold paint on their team, though. Stunning team to lose to. #BloodBowl #MiniaturePainting

Cheapest photo upgrade I've made: a velvet backdrop 📸 Same mini, same light. Foam gave me a gray wash, and my lightbox's plastic backdrop left a reflection line at the curve. Velvet just eats the light and lets the model do the work. Macro photography is its own rabbit hole. #MiniaturePainting

Commander Shepard, on the edge of a hostile world with a gun in one hand and a terrible choice in the other 🚀 The OSL is a bit meh and I'm still dialing it in, but I'm proud of the freehand N7 on his chest. Small detail, high risk, worth slowing down for. #MassEffect #MiniaturePainting

Most Blood Bowl teams get one big guy. The Tomb Kings get four ☠️ My favorite of the set, mostly because I glued a boulder (roughly the size of a small boulder) into his hand. It felt right. Four big guys on one team is objectively ridiculous. That's why I love them. #BloodBowl #MiniaturePainting

Garrus Vakarian, calibrating 🔭 Cool blues and desaturated metals keep the armor grounded and military, and a warmer base stops him disappearing into the void. Lots of drybrushed edges and a bit of grime. With Garrus, less flash says more. #MassEffect #MiniaturePainting

The desert doesn't forget. It waits… and rises in black and gold ☀️💀 My Blood Bowl Tomb Kings in Pittsburgh Steelers colors. My first real try at army-style batch painting after mostly one-off characters. Favorite detail: field lines chalked right over the desert rocks and logs. #BloodBowl

Won the fight, lost the game 🏈 Blood Bowl Matchday 3: 1–3 to the Shimmerveil Hurricanes. Their Dragon Princes just ran around us. We took two elves off the pitch for good (one by a squire!) and lost squire Edelgard Rabe. RIP. Gorgeous card-suit High Elves, though. #BloodBowl #MiniaturePainting

The quest for the Grail got violent 🏈💀 Matchday 2: Monarchia Marauders 2, Grenadiers 0. Pouring rain, a buttered ball, and Rogerin still managed three completions for MVP. Kor the Cunning turned my roster into a casualty ward. Four players left standing, no mercy rule. Moral victory. #BloodBowl

The Holy Hand Grenadiers took the field 🏈🐇 Matchday 1 of my first Blood Bowl league was also my first-ever game of Blood Bowl. We beat the Oak City Lucharitos Halflings 2–0. Barely past base coats. The plan: paint them up over the season while Blood Bowl makes their lives worse. #BloodBowl

Question: I usually post about my minis on IG, but I’ve been sharing my time at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend and I’ve gotten lots of good questions about going. Would you be interested in hearing some Tips and Tricks to join me next year?

This was my 5th Comic-Con and my 4th Marvel Panel in Hall H. I’ve picked up a bunch of practical tips along the way. I’d be happy to share if there’s interest. Not sure how much these communities overlap though. Let me know!!

Throwback climb up the Spire 🖌️✨ Painting these Slay the Spire board-game minis was a blast, but The Defect stole the show, both on the table and at the hobby desk. I experimented with glass-effect orbs for the first time and loved how the blues and highlights turned out.

Gotham’s guardian, in classic gray and blue. 🦇 My painted Batman from the Hush core box of DC Super Heroes United—cape highlights, bat-signal glow, and a touch of 90s nostalgia. Not the paint job he deserves, but the paint job he needs.

If they’re strong enough to control Big Blue, Ivy’s vines must be pretty wild. 🌿💥 Loved breaking out the @vallejocolors fluo paints for that blacklight pop - perfect for my unique (?) take on the Controlled Superman mini from the Hush box of DC Super Heroes United. ⚡🦸‍♂️

💪🏻❤️ #ALS Awareness Space Marine for the #ArmyFromOne #GrimdarkExchange I packed this model with Easter eggs for ALS awareness and in memory of my mom, Wendy ❤️ This hobby has given me a way to honor her and raise awareness, one mini at a time.

Sometimes we’re unsatisfied with a thing we made because when it only existed in our head, we saw all the things it could have been and when it’s done we know all the things that it isn’t, but we can’t see the way it expands into a million new things when someone else unpacks it in their head. 🖊️🦑

If you’re a mini painter who’s just starting or one that’s practicing new methods or who is struggling in their hobby; you’re doing great! Keep going. Keep practicing. Keep trying new things. If my first mini can show, we all get better. #minipainting #miniaturepainting #wepaintminis

💫 “I am no Jedi.” 💫 Ahsoka Tano is a former Jedi Padawan who left the Order to follow her own path. Known for her dual lightsabers and calm-but-deadly fighting style, she’s become one of the most skilled and independent heroes in the galaxy.

Every month I paint minis. In Sept, I’m also running one. I’m running the Sola Hot Mini 5K (yes, it’s donut-themed 🍩, but I’m claiming it) for ALS research. My team (Wendy's Warriors) is running in honor of my mom, Wendy, who we lost to the disease in 2017. Each $ counts! Donate Here 👉 bit.ly/mini5k

When I was 16 Darth Maul was the coolest thing I’d ever seen. ❤️🖤 I even dressed up as him for Halloween, double-bladed lightsaber and all. So my first Shatterpoint mini had to be Maul. 🔥 I painted my first ever lightsaver, tried makeup sponges for the lighting and some glazing effects on the beams.

The chibi sculpt made it extra fun to exaggerate the color contrast and give him some real presence on the table. Not the most complex model, but one of the most nostalgic. Who else grew up watching X-Men: The Animated Series and hearing that booming voice echo across time and space?

I am as far beyond mutants as they are beyond you. Just wrapped up this Marvel United Apocalypse, and I had a blast leaning into that classic '90s cartoon vibe. I went full Saturday morning villain with bright pink energy coils and that iconic blue-and-silver armor.

🎬 Brought my Stature mini to life with a little AI magic 👣💥 Still one of the more fun (and weird) uses of AI I’ve seen! I know it’s controversial—but like it or not, it’s here to stay. This one’s powered by @nauknauk.io — part animation, part fever dream.
