Am I the only one who doesn’t really care what new frontier models are out there? I just pick whatever model when I need it. Like: “For this bit I’ll try a cheap but solid OAI model, just because... ” My daily driver: Zai, OC Go, & OpenRouter (pay-per-use) btw.

Heard a story from my Malaysian Indian friend that his dad got mad at him for being a ‘Hindi hacker’. I was already LOLing before he even finished the story. "Since when do you even speak Hindi?" Happy belated Malaysia Day!🇲🇾

Had a call with our kid’s online math teacher. His Microsoft whiteboard isn’t free anymore. I suggested an alternative. He said, “No worries, I built my own whiteboard for my students.” Feels like this vibe coding trend will continue strong. Hence, the question... 1/2

How are my fellow SaaS founders doing with the vibe coding getting stronger each day?

Issues with these apps: they’re getting more expensive. Imagine paying for five of them at $50/month each. Vibe coding lets people build better alternatives. And it’s getting hotter now. 2/2

I’m redesigning my own project app, and realized how much AI sloppy-looking all my client apps are. I’ve been in a bubble where my client only cares about the UX. Most of their apps are used internally, which is why it was never an issue.

For the past year & a half away from social media & all that noise, I’ve been building boring but niche apps for clients. Nothing fancy or AI-powered, just normal apps that get the job done. I owe a lot to my assistants: GLM & DeepSeek are my full-timers...

Then I’ve got part-timers like Qwen, Kimi, and MiniMax, and a few random interns whose names I’ve already forgotten. Overall, things are good. Life’s great. Money is awright. There are still challenges, of course, but that’s just how it is.

Funny how things turned out. I was deep in an AI SaaS (2023), awesome team, but the pace & the big move overwhelmed me. So I left & took a long break. Fast forward to now: I quietly build small, useful AI apps for people - nothing flashy, and I’m happier than before.

Republic Day tomorrow, public holiday today. Driving up to Burabay in a rental. First time left-hand side driving here. Mountains, lakes, ~300 km from Astana. No work, no laptop for 1–2 days. One night booked, maybe two. The chonky cat’s on guard. Wish him luck!🐈

Just realized that September 2025 marks two years since my first serious dive into AI by joining an AI SaaS. I left not long after, lol, but that was the starting point. Time flies.

Not sure I should share this, but some forty‑y—#$%^& follow me. 😉 2025: no more delulu startup/SaaS grind. "Part‑time" tech support + AI gigs, and I’m the happiest since COVID. Moral: dreams need deadlines; 5 years was too long for me.

Tried the Dia browser and was surprised by how slick and smooth it is. AI writing is not bad, and the chat-to-tab feature made replying emails easy. Code assistant is on par! Bookmark import could be better (used Arc & Brave), & I miss Arc’s sidebar for keeping my tabs organized and clutter-free.

sometimes i wonder if it’s just me — i can’t sit through videos of people talking to the camera, not even vlogs or casual updates. i usually skip and scroll, looking for text or quiet visuals instead — something i can read at my own pace, something that lets me think, not just consume.

Hi friends, I need your help. My contract just got caught in a round of layoffs, so I'm open for short/medium-term fullstack work: Clojure, Rails, React, etc. If you know anyone looking for a senior dev who can ship fast, I'd love to hear about it. My LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/goshatch Thank you! 🙏
