Felt like this part of my bio needed an expansion as I think people are seeing it as me being funny. No, I really am clinically fucked, and posts will reflect that. Better it's said. Clarity and whatnot.

I know I am a true Brit because I am guilty of ranting about issues I know nothing about in the middle of pubs before. With total confidence I'm revealing some forbidden truth.

One thing that doesn't track for me about The Expanse is they're using a salvaged Martian warship supposedly with state of the art torpedoes that they're always boasting about. But if they have no allegience to Mars where the hell are they restocking said torpedoes?

At best they would be scavenging shipwrecks and stolen Martian equipment. Failing that they'd have to make do with whatever torpedoes/ammo they can find. Yet the ship is always presented as being a perfectly stocked war vessel cuz it from Mars n shit.

American subtitle creators stop typing "idjit" as "idiot" challenge (impossible). That's what Bobby is saying in Supernatural by the way. Idjit. Not idiot. Same mistake in The Expanse. I *think* these are the official bluray subs I'm using.

Side character: "Are your plans always this vague?" Amos: "This is about average." "You all must be very lucky." "We get our fair share." Muuuuuuuum, The Expanse is being self-aware again.

I think what separates Häagen-Dazs from Ben and Jerry's is Ben and Jerry's TRICKS you into thinking it's premium quality ice cream because its shapes (cookie dough, fudge brownie, chocolate fish chunks) meet that craving for sugar. With Häagen-Dazs the ice cream itself is of a luxury quality.

Lol Jim Caviezel starred in a propaganda movie as Jair Bolsonaro? I knew he was a bit of a ridiculous religious whackjob with conspiracy theorist leanings but that's still disappointing. Really liked him in Person of Interest.

Whatsapp turning an election around might be the most Brazilian thing I've ever read (they REALLY rely on Whatsapp there)

The actual damage will need to be assessed by a doctor, but the sonographer still found my spleen to only be slightly enlarged (good sign), no fluid in my abdomen (very good sign), no lesions cancerous or benign he can see (obviously a great sign). The ultrasound will be compared to my last, but

still alive. Relative to my size and thereby the size of my other organs, my spleen is only 1cm enlarged. This is good as with cirrhosis scarring can cause blood to flow back into the spleen. The worse the scarring the larger it gets I believe is the general idea.

Ahahahahahahah Pluribus season 2 won't be until July 2028. Raises the question again, after Severance where I couldn't remember half of what happened, why the hell do I watch any show on schedule these days. Oh right because social media might spoil them. But social media is how I *find* them.

Need to start watching for show announcements, writing down names and descriptions, then muting the term. Also need to remain off Reddit because their skillset is more in destroying third party apps than introducing standard features like mute.

Always the same damn story with me. I bring a book or a game to an appointment thinking I'll pass the time with it. I won't. I'll sit there fixed in place until I'm called. I am mentally paralysed by any form of schedule or obligation.

If I try, I cannot absorb what I'm trying to distract myself with. God it sucks. Must be nice to be able to zone in and out. I'm either on or off.

Routine ultrasound today. Time to see the damage to my liver. I say "time" as if I can interpret ultrasound images myself. Would be easier if I could.

Gonna sound like a wild stretch but would take too long to explain my logic so here goes: When people use mundane labels to describe people they don't like too often & inaccurately, even just calling everyone bots, it's because they'd be shouting slurs if they could get away with it. Good night.

Always shop obsessively for hours until it could be classed as a mental illness on Amazon. Think, measure stuff at home, measure out the specs, visualise the item, use keywords. Find your compromise point. Tell yourself you're doing all this because the search function fucking sucks which is true.

But there were way more considerations than you might think. For example I had to measure up to the ideal centre for a VESA mount. One vertical dual monitor stand had a massive area of the pole where mounting was not possible so my monitor would be too high. You always gotta think of everything on

Just saved £40 on something that is more or less what I need. Needed a free standing monitor stand with an extra long pole. Instead just got a vertical dual monitor one. Long pole came standard for obvious reasons. Only drawback, no extending arm. But I feel way more comfortable trying it at £30.

Amazon offered me a COLLECT BY THURSDAY IF YOU ORDER WITHIN 9 MINUTES. So I placed the order, then checked the page after that 9 minutes. Wouldn't you know it, the item was then available TOMORROW. So I cancelled in time and ordered for tomorrow. Functional website/app.

Lol the UK has the highest obesity rate in Western Europe... Jesus. Yeah we probably have a normalisation problem by this point then, I need to exercise more and beat that stereotype damn.

The Expanse, how am I supposed to take a character called "Colonel Janus" seriously? (to their credit, even they make a joke about it)

I will say alt text has a use even for people without visual impairments etc. because 90 percent of the time I hate bothering people asking what piece of media a meme is from. But it doesn't matter because the collective Bluesky conscience kicks in and I can check the alt text.

Damn it. Really need to take better care of my tech. Anker 737 power bank is completely dead, only shows a display when plugged in, and with a wrong percentage. Nothing to do but leave it on charge and hope for the best. High end power bank too. Damn it.

I really wish I hadn't fucking done that. This thing was not cheap. Fuck. There are alternatives with decent enough screens these days but they're not pocket change either.

Apparently they intentionally cut off the battery permanently for safety after a deep discharge too. So it's not even broken it's just ewaste. Great. Not annoying at all.

I'll be honest power banks with a detailed screen with wattages might seem gimmicky but I have no wish to go back.

I'm enjoying my ereader with a remote clicker honestly. Got a big font and have the Kobo stationed horizontally. Much more relaxing for some reason. I think the reason is the same as why wired headphones and VR headsets are so annoying. Being mindful of expensive tech ruins the ability to relax.

Not shitting on wired headphones to perfectly clear, the pros of those absolutely fucking speak for themselves. Less tolerant about VR headsets though.

Being told to go to hospital in a taxi when I was seriously ill and couldn't move properly, not even sure if I was going to make it out of my door is STILL turning around in the brain. Do not get ill. Help is not coming. Also fuck you as well, probably. They might as well say that.

Got chatting to my middle aged neighbour who has a lot of health issues of his own and his experiences only confirmed mine. We might as well have big billboards saying "Want to save the NHS its resources? Just die already."
