The LoRa and MeshCore community is larger than I thought. I just started looking at it after a long while, and the network got huge. Met some nice people, and I hope we can expand it even more so everyone’s messages get transferred.

And don’t start E2EE, if one piece in your support chain does not support E2EE, no encryption. And then, even if it had stable E2EE, all current RCS clients are Closed Source, making it Schrödingers Encryption. Thanks Google for trying the 100th time making a messenger and failing miserably (2/2)

Why is RCS still so horrible. First it is not E2EE by default. Second, the dependencies for it to function are out of your control (The support chain is like , your phone OS , your chat application , your SIM ISP and then the same three for all chat partners) (1/2)

I couldn't have expected Fluxer to get this far, and I've received an enormous amount of funding through Visionary (and there are still many slots available!) to keep this project alive, scale its infrastructure, and quite possibly also extend the core team beyond myself. Huzzah!

One thing that bothers me on Mac(OS) is, if you somehow break finder by using a broken USB drive or network storage, you can happily force restart it with the power button. Everything else simply does not work anymore

My favorite MacOS Apps. AlDente and CoconutBattery (Battery Monitor) Latest (Auto updater for all kinds of applications, but currently broken) AppCleaner (Removes leftovers from uninstalled apps, like configs) Clop (Automatic Converter and Compressor for media in the clipboard)

I think it’s time for a new macOS X Snow Leopard. iOS/macOS 26 are unpolished and significantly reduce user experience. Visual bugs, glitches, and stutters bother me every day. I want a polished, stable OS, not some unfinished feature-bloated stutter sessions. And yes, I Report what I find to apple

Our sandboxed Google Play compatibility layer is open source code shipped as part of GrapheneOS which enables optionally installing and running Google apps as regular apps in the standard app sandbox without any special access, control or privileged integration into the OS.

Gerade doofer Gedanke Ihr kennt bestimmt „Eltern haften für ihre Kinder“ Schilder. Diese Logik einfach online anwenden. Kind macht mit 12 Jahren etwas falsch online , was natürlich durch Aufklärung oder normale Alterskontrolle/Beschränkung vermeidbar wäre, Bußgeld für Eltern.

Android 16 dropped Pixel support from AOSP so we need to implement it with adevtool. The main consequence is a whole lot of extra work and an expansion of code we aren't able to build with hardening improvements. Our USB-C port control feature will need to be reimplemented with another approach.

basic vulnerability research taxonomy because apparently a lot of people don't get it: bug = a defect (usually in software or hardware) vulnerability = a security-relevant bug exploit = a method/tool for using a vulnerability to achieve some goal, against the intent of the system designers

Easier Sideloading on iOS will be so nice. I can’t wait to explain to my parents and grandparents how not to be tricked into installing some random app that an AI voice on TikTok/Facebook recommends, which is not suspicious at all and was downloaded from a weird domain. #iOS #sidelosding #security
