9 years ago today, 6/30/17, I arrived in Vietnam for the 1st time. Almost immediately, I snapped this photo in a taxi going from the airport to my hotel. Through the windshield, the words on that driver's jacket hit me as an amazing Welcome To Saigon sign. It's my favorite picture I've ever taken.

My parents did not name me ĐƠN GIẢN but it is what I am called NOW. It is pronounced Dunzan and rhymes with Fun Man. ĐƠN GIẢN is Vietnamese for SIMPLE.
