New article - How AI Robots Build Institutional Knowledge Over Time aka, write that down, Zhu Li! It's expensive and annoying for AI agents to solve the same problem every session. Lets give them notebooks. Article is paid but not for you: buff.ly/aeU4emf

My personal hot take is that programming is entirely dead. It ended in Q1 this year. Software engineering is flourishing. Architecture, project management, steering and context providing, keeping the robots coordinated, and on tasks that benefit the business is the new job. What do you think?

Every wanted to send an email from Claude Code as part of a workflow? The fantastic Alex Moore implemented this at work as a Skill (+ some backend things they explain in the article), and it's widely used. Build it yourself, article is now free. buff.ly/EwhoiQH

I started the patent process for a tool I wrote for work. I can't say much yet, but I'll share more when I can. I'm going to pursue open sourcing if I can work it through the system, we'll see!!

Can you use AI to detect red flags from a local church? A local church posts their sermons on youtube, so obviously I downloaded the last few (yt-dlp), transcribed to wav (ffmpeg), fed to whisper (whisper-cli), and then asked AI to analyze for red flags (claude code cli). buff.ly/9ZEj6mk

A network component I wrote for work has just over 400 clients, and has pushed more than 100TB across it. It's wildly cool, but I feel weird bragging or writing about it because it's vibe coded - so I "wrote" it. Do I get credit for this? Do you want to hear about this type of project?

Article is now free: Agentic AI Email Bot on AWS Bedrock AgentCore: Part 2 We took our Slack and Teams internal AI agent (that we wrote ourselves) and made it respond to email. That poor robot. Execs love it, go figure buff.ly/1vp3rqP

Someone messaged me on Blue sky with what I thought was a valid question, so I responded. Their response to me is painfully AI generated. What do any of us gain by putting robots between us in conversation? AI is a terrible writer, and DOESN'T THINK. Don't outsource your smart human brain to a bot

In the worst case, AI will replace us we'll all be re-enacting the end of Office Space. In the best case, AI handles the boring stuff, and we get to handle the interesting edge cases. In case anyone finds a way to enable actual creativity in bots, please refer to the attached image.

New article available: Full /sdlc in a Single Skill Command aka, from ticket to Prod with your team of robots Software engineering becomes managing the team of robots. It's weird. Come read about it. It's paid but not for you: buff.ly/4sRQsHU

I'm back from maternity leave! New article coming to LetsDoDevops tomorrow, on how to enable agentic development, and the changing nature of software development (read: cat herding AIs). Keep an eye out for paywall bypass links :)

🔥 AI makes work for itself AI tools shouldn't require your most senior engineers to work 75-hour weeks just to operate them. Use AI to build deterministic tools, then let those tools do the work. Turn expertise into repeatable processes the whole team can safely operate. buff.ly/xMB0BN4

I think as a senior technical group, we have to remember that an AI tool is the very first (Beta, Alpha) take at how to do a job. We should be pouring that creativity and expertise into tools that have handles and safeguards to make them easy and simple enough to be operated by the whole team.

Hey everyone! My wife and I have had a new baby, so I'm taking a break from social media. I will be spending all this time reading up on AI... lol, not really, gonna throw my phone off a bridge and pretend computers don't exist. Blogging paused, podcasting is recorded and won't be interrupted. ✌️

If you use the Atlassian MCP in SSE mode, it's about to be deprecated You can check with: > claude mcp list If you see it, you need to remove it: > claude mcp remove atlassian And add the new http one: > claude mcp add --scope user --transport http atlassian mcp.atlassian. com/v1/mcp

AgentCore: Deployment, Operations, and Lessons Learned (4/4) 🔥 aka, wish I'd known that earlier Now free for everyone. Terraform patterns, container operations, debugging headaches, observability, costs, and the lessons learned running AgentCore in production. buff.ly/pM26weS

New article! Designing specialized sub-agents with claude code - model selection, tool scoping, and output contracts. This article covers how to build focused agents with the "right" model, the tools they need, and set outputs you need back. Article is paid, but not for you:

Fantastic fun with Ned!! > Hosts Ned and Kyler compare notes on everything they’ve been doing with AI, including the successes they’ve enjoyed and headaches they’ve suffered building and implementing AI agents. buff.ly/lg1927N

> 👏 Great news: your application was approved for another year in the AWS Community Builders program Yay! I'm glad to stay in this great community (though we all miss Jason Dunn, who was the heart and soul of the program).

New article: teaching Claude Code to run a full SDLC workflow autonomously. This one covers the orchestrator pattern behind our multi-agent AWS AgentCore workflow: implement, review, deploy to DEV, validate in Slack, deploy to PROD, and validate again. It's paid, but not for you: buff.ly/sK3mEsQ

AgentCore MCP Gateway article is now free. If you’ve been wiring up MCP tools one by one, you’ve probably felt the pain—different auth flows, scattered secrets, and a growing pile of integration code just to make everything work together. buff.ly/raMo5VI

Did you know a lot of places assume married couples are male/female pairs? I bought a house, and the Title company's notary had to get out the white-out to fix the doc we signed!

What if an LLM lived on an ASIC and was absolutely BLAZING FAST? Taalas and Ljubisa Bajic did just that, and you can use it today. Check out chatjimmy[.ai] to try it now!! Check out the image for an example - it generated that response in 6 ONE THOUSANDTH of a second!!

New blog post: Agentic AI Email Bot on AWS Bedrock AgentCore: Building the Thread, Sending the Reply, and Operating in Production (2/2) Focuses on what happens after the email hits the worker. And the code is now open sourced!! Link in the article. buff.ly/kO022PU

🔥 This very popular article is now FREE: AWS AgentCore Agentic Slack Bot - Full Architecture and Code (1/4). Moved Vera from the Lambda “invoke and die” model to a warm, long-lived AgentCore app built for agent workflows buff.ly/glbZD3h

Post is now free: migrating VeraResearch to first-class MCP tool support in Strands. Running multiple MCP servers caused tool name collisions and a pile of custom wrapper code to manage prefixes and filtering. This post shows how we deleted that complexity using native MCPClient buff.ly/fV2InLi

Post is now free on how to build audit logging across AI bots using python and AWS cloudwatch. Agentic bots make many calls per request, so audits get messy fast. This post shows the simple audit layer we added user identity, question, response, sessionID for easier debugging. buff.ly/2TZtqEt

I had an unreasonably fun time with Chandana talking about: - How to get started to tech - Programming vs Infra background to DevOps - The rise of AI in DevOps - How to excel at work and life in the age of AI instability It was a great convo, hope you enjoy.

buff.lySkills You Need to Transition into DevOps in 2026In this interview, we sit down with Kyler to discuss her unconventional path to becoming a devops engineer and leader. If you feel stuck in your current IT role or want to know how to start a tech…

It's not just you, the entire github platform is unstable and crashing right now. So if we need Claude to write code, and GitHub to store and deploy code, and both have nearly daily issues, like... what the heck do we do now. Is this what software engineering is now?

Just shipped a big update to our open-source AI Slack bot (Vera) on AWS Bedrock AgentCore. New in the repo: • Per-user Atlassian OAuth (no shared svc acct) • Sub-agent delegation • Matplotlib charts → Slack threads • Slack file uploads MIT + Terraform. Deploy it yourself. buff.ly/bDIpfMf

If you’re building agentic Slack bots with AWS, this one dives deep into the AgentCore MCP Gateway and how I’m wiring Vera into PagerDuty, GitHub, Atlassian, Splunk, Azure, and AWS CLI. I share all code, as well as why. It's paid, but not for you. buff.ly/6yWW6BJ
