Uncomfortable Creatures

Oof, emptiest my bank account has been in a while. Good thing I opened comms today. Gonna need to hunker down and limit spending for a good long while, don't like that I currently have zero cushion. But I got all my holiday shopping done now while everything is on discount.

Online shopping is such a fucking pain in the ass these days. Prices fluctuate so much. Also my sisters gifts fucking REAMED me. Ikea does NOT want you shipping items, but again, nearest one is hours away.

I finally have a negative thing to say about DBS: Beerus Bulma's birthday party stuff was SPEEDRAN. It was shorter than the movie. Makes me worry the series is just gonna be FIGHTO FIGHTO with little comedy. Was hoping some of the movie stuff would be restored, like the Bingo Dance.

Its wild to me how many adaptations of super hero stories often tackle really poorly received ones instead of adapting critically acclaimed stories.

Like you'd think DC wouldn't want anyone to touch Arisia with a 10ft pole. Let alone have her anywhere near Hal Jordan. Between that and Judas Contract adaptations I wonder if DC just thinks if they adapt these stories without the creepy child sex stuff enough times, it will bury the originals.

Also time for "cynical conspiracy thoughts" If you already know a property is a smash hit, either because its an established franchise (Dragonball) or had a hugely successful first season (MHA, One Punch Man) Just phone it in/pad the living shit out of it because people will still watch it.

But not just that, then you get to use all that brand recognition later to just re-release or re-do the anime with better animation and/or all the fluff cut out. A free pass to double dip on its popularity.

DBS Beerus is crazy looking, its full blown "Every frame is an animator trying to prove a point." Also if people weren't already horny for Beerus, he is pulling some crazy poses and faces in that first fight.

I haven't played Galactic Racer because I am not a racing game person, but Biddy Blas clips are such a breath of fresh air after they decided Rotta the Hutt needed to speak english and sound like a guy named Dave the whole movie.

Star Wars should feel old and silly.

Elon rebranded Twitter "X, The Everything App" for his stupid "One site that just does everything" idea he has clutched onto since the 90's And in the three years since, has not added a single feature to actually make it even one step closer to that.

New Castlevanias music definitely isn't hitting. In any other game I'd give that OST a 7/10. Here its a 6/10. Its fine but doesn't set the right mood. Also the OST has no timestamps. Is Bloody Tears the only throwback song that got covered? AGAIN? No Vampire Killer?

Writers block sucks because its so unpredictable. I've been struggling to get anything down and then tonight I just forced myself to make a LITTLE progress, having no motivation at all. Then bam, 1100 words, story is ready for editing. WHERE WAS THAT WEEKS AGO?

You have to wonder how insanely frustrating working for Disney must be, given the amount of actors who have burned bridges with what is the largest media company in the world.

This is everything I hate about prequels summed up in one image. "Look, this is how he became obsessed with his iconic weapon" If you had to narrow down a point where he becomes "obsessed" with machetes it'd probably be when his mom gets decapitated with one but what do I know.
