Federal law (52 U.S.C. § 20507) bars systematic programs to remove voters from the rolls within 90 days of a federal election. Whether that reaches a request to set ballots aside is a question for the courts. Nobody asked this question months ago, when there was time.

I’m exhausted by this Administration. I know many people are. Sometimes I dream of moving to Canada 🇨🇦 or even New Zealand 🇳🇿. Our ballots are mailed to us automatically. There is no in-person voting. Oregon makes it so easy! Every state is a little different. When we lived in Utah, we signed up to get our ballot mailed. Then we could mail it back or bring it to the polls.

Very true. I just didn't get around to getting my mail-in ballot, so it was just easier to go in person. Next time I'll plan ahead better (hopefully my to-do list has gotten shorter by then.)

Voting by mail is even easier. A nice supper, a glass of wine that pairs nicely with a ballot and the Voter Information Booklet. Then drop off the ballot the next day at the ballot box…that’s how I like to vote!
