TinyCat’s “Similar in this library” field recommends books from your catalog to your patrons, based on the book they are currently perusing. It's a great way to help your patrons explore your catalog! Add it to your library from your Detail Page Sections settings. #BookSky #libraries #💙📚

More than that, it actually does a good job. It doesn't make up recommendations for a book if it doesn't find any good matches in your library. It judges books as "similar" (or not) with some excellent logic, so it recommends books that are actually relevant.

Womp womp! We need to raincheck today's webinar after all, but we'll be back next week. As you may have seen in the news, PHP software announced some concerns, so as a precaution LibraryThing and TinyCat are temporarily down. We'll be back up soon. See you at our webinar next week!

We've made some major changes to the Your books page, where members access and edit their catalog! We‘ve added new functionality, changed the way the page is laid out and increased the different ways in which the catalog can be viewed. #💙📚 #Booksky

What country are most of YOUR authors from? I'm always surprised how few TinyCat libraries make use of their personalized Charts & Graphs in LibraryThing. Plenty of interesting stats to show your patrons and the people in charge. #BookSky #libraries #💙📚

You can add a link to your full catalog on your TinyCat homepage to let your patrons browse your items. Ensure all your items are cataloged with at least one shared collection or tag. Then do a search for that collection/tag in TinyCat and add the search URL to your homepage. #BookSky

For example, in my TinyCat everything is at least in the "Your Library" collection. So the search for all items is: Collections: "Your library" Patrons can click that link on my homepage and filter or reorder the search results, or flip through one page at a time.
