Take a very deep breath through your nose. Exhale through your mouth. Repeat, slowly 3x. You are beginning your day mindfully, in the moment. Reflect and repeat.

Caring for plants is a mindful activity that invites us to slow down and reconnect with nature. There is something grounding about touching the soil, feeling its texture between our fingers, planting a seed, or gently tending to a leaf. These simple acts bring our attention away from our worries.

I practice & try to live in the moment. But when a health concern arises, waiting for answers can be difficult ,& the news sometimes causes unsettling feelings. Mindfulness doesn't mean we stop feeling; it's a tool to navigate our feelings. It's a continual practice, not a perfect state of being.

When you spot a red tailed hawk mindfully consider the message it is sending you in that moment considering it's symbolism. The red-tailed hawk symbolizes clear vision, spiritual communication, personal power, and grounded strength.

Pause the world's noise. Notice every shade, color, and reflection in this photo. Breathe deeply, feel gratitude, and return to the present moment—one mindful breath at a time. Mindfulness is a practice: Be here now.

This muster of woodstorks made me mindful of the human need, young & old, for friendship & companionship. There is comfort in coming together & having a sense of belonging. It's healthy for minds & spirits. If you are feeling lonely or just for some new experience join a group; that's a mindful act

We’re all going through something. Tune out the news, silence your devices, quiet unhelpful thoughts, and step into nature. Listen to the birds, feel the breeze, and remember that you don’t have to solve everything today. Breathe, be present, and give yourself permission to simply be.

Art transforms a person's mood. It is a very mindful activity. If you feel any angst or have unwelcome thoughts; start doodleing right now. 😊

It is mindful to notice beauty that doesn't demand attention. Look at heart & kindness. Looks fade, hearts remain. Cardinals remind us of this; subtle beauty often goes unnoticed. The red male is a bold red but the female has a warm orange and is light brown, pink and yellow. Equally beautiful .

The way we take the time to feature items that reflect the seasons or holidays is a mindful activity. The placement, textures, and reflections all encourage pausing. When sitting we all soak in our environment, that we create, and it centers, calms and delights us.

Mindful walks include breathing, being awake in the moment, walking slowly to feel the earth under your feet, noticing a vibrant flower blooming in a swamp, and being grateful that you can walk and see the beauty.

I practice mindfulness. I'm sure posting this art is dangerous but I think it's mindful to be fully aware, incredibly sad as the truth is, that we are being ruled, not governed, by criminals.

The iris is a showy flower with many intricacies. Mindful observation exercise: Get up close to the next flower you view from afar. Look at every detail. When you are lost in the flowers details you won't be thinking any unhelpful thoughts.

It's mindful to be quiet when lots of activity, noise or drama surrounds you. The same is true for a busy frame. It needs a simple, quieter image.

One single strand of Edison lights against the vastness of the reminds us that even a small light can brighten the darkness. Pause, look up, breathe, and appreciate the simple beauty right in front of you. Sometimes, the smallest moments are the ones that illuminate our lives.”

Mindfulness invites us to slow down and notice the beauty that is easily overlooked. A single water flower, surrounded by leaves, light, & still water, reminds us that beauty doesn’t have to be grand to be meaningful. Pause. Appreciate what is right in front of you. *Splatterdock plant

It seems this turtle is stretching beyond its comfort zone, fully aware of the world around it. Like us, it knows when to retreat & when it’s safe to open up again. Mindfulness can be that same practice: knowing when to pause, then stretching ourselves toward life with curiosity, trust, openness.

The natural world contains all of the lessons we need to live mindful. Look at a day in the life of an alligator. It is a slow-paced mix of sunbathing, waiting for prey, and cooling off in the water. They, like all instinctual creatures live in the very present moment.

I took a reflective morning nature walk & was mindful that I was a visitor in the home of the creatures and plants that I was enjoying. Breathing IN I open my heart & mind to the quiet beauty & many sentient beings we live amongst, Breathing OUT I am calm & happy.

Let the rainbow remind you that some of life's most beautiful moments are temporary. Mindfulness is learning to be present enough to treasure them while they're here.

Halloween gives us a playful opportunity to practice mindfulness. Dressing our pets in a silly costume, watching their reactions, and enjoying their excitement reminds us to slow down, be present, and appreciate the simple moments that bring us joy.

I would love to put my art on canvas. I mindfully take time to pick the size that best suits picture quality. I go through this process looking at wrap, gallery mount, I'm learning along the way about changes to the work depending on surface and size. I stop. It's cost prohibitive. I'm done.

A jade plant is a hardy succulent with thick, coin-shaped leaves. It symbolizes steady, patient growth, resilience, and mindful presence. Plant care, knowing what each plant needs, is a mindful activity.

As absolutely unique and beautiful this cloud is, mindfulness reminds us of impermanence. There is not one person or thing that will last. Knowing that impermanence is a fact, let's try, as a mindful exercise, not to get attached or worry, but instead practice treasuring all of our experiences.

Yes, it is expensive to buy food. Most of us can still buy groceries although it is much more difficult to buy for seven days. It helps to mindfully plan to make things that can be eaten again during the week.

Mindfully think of the many people who carry you in their hearts—people who think of you, care about you, & quietly cheer you on, even from miles away. Your presence touches others, & having people to love is one of life’s greatest gifts. *Photo from a friend who is visiting Monet's Giverny

I believe we should pause long enough to notice the beauty around us. Mindfulness helps us recognize the many things we can be grateful for, and gratitude has a way of lifting the spirit. When we focus on what is good and right, we make room for more peace, joy, and appreciation in our lives.

Creating a mindful and welcoming home entry means clearing physical clutter to set a calm, grounded tone the moment the door opens. To create good feng shui in an east-facing entryway, you need to support the natural Wood element of the East, which governs health and family.

Mindful creations. I painted on slate and used the naturally existing hole to hang it up. I sit and look at the rainbow reflections that reflect across the canvas of another painting; it's very calming.

Mindful of the dynamics of some parental relationships, and our losses, and aging. Mindful that all humans need attention; how much shifts and changes.

Mindful, focused, having creative thoughts; wishing this palm could be dipped in paint, held like a brush and dragged over a canvas. I'm picturing the painting; lots of movement, the ocean, a shapely school of big fish. I'd use Key West colors. This is how to engage in mindful, creative daydreaming

Dolly, David Clayton Thomas, Shelly Fabre. "What will you do with your one Wild and Precious life?" Mary Oliver. Be mindful of our limited time. Make your count. (Poster from an online source).

Meditating on why I have lost my motivation to watercolor paint, I think my lack of motivation doesn't necessarily mean I've lost my creativity. Sometimes creativity goes quiet because something else in us is demanding attention. Mindfully, I'm going to give it a little room, and invite it back.

Watching Antiques Roadshow I wondered how many people buy just because they like something or how many purchase mindfully- actually considering future value. From what I've watched, it seems what becomes desirable or a collectible from emotional connection or scarcity
