It's been giving me similar suggestions lately, like Graham and James from LRR, Meghan and Maria from GLHF, and Marshall from LR/commentary. I can't parasocial impostor myself into thinking any of that is a good idea. I couldn't even bring myself to tag them here

the cornell case has me thinking about christine blasey ford and how she so bravely testified in 2018 about how future supreme court justice brett kavanaugh had sexually assaulted her. i'm thinking about what i wrote at the time and how nothing has changed:

On the one hand, I appreciate the acknowledgement of reality implied here, very... Shall I say quaint... among his cohort On the other, bruh, FOH with the most prejudice

When is the right time to speak ill of the dead? If they loved and respected others, and left this world better than they found it, it’s not an issue. If they were a powerful public figure who left a trail of suffering, do it right now, hurry up, you’re already late! Silence is always an option.

So after openly deadnaming all our trans folks last week, leadership apologized, but then did not update employee's names for the vote today. This means our trans employees are being forced to openly deadname themselves in order to vote in today's union election. This is deeply fucked.

I’ve worked in TV animation for the past 16 years and “stunt casting” voiceover work has the worst ROI across the board and executives never get tired of doing it.

Matthew Lillard criticized the industry for prioritizing celebrities over voice actors in animation: “The ability to carry a film, as the lead of a film with only a voice, is a power very few people have. The idea that they keep hiring crappy celebrities to carry huge films is killing us.”
