Sipping coffee and reading about all the DSA primary wins this morning has been a great mood boost to start the day. It’s a good year to be a New Yorker. I hope everyone takes some time to enjoy these victories, and then gears back up for the push to November.

Tonight is our last fundraising deadline before the campaigns enter the final Get Out the Vote phase. Billionaires like Michael Bloomberg are spending millions to keep corporate Democrats in power in Albany. We can’t let him beat us. Donate today at actblue.com/donate/slate2026.

TOMORROW: Rally outside Hochul’s Manhattan office. Hochul has shown over and over that she’s more vulnerable to our pressure than she’d like to admit. When we push, she moves. We’re in the the final stretch of the budget. It’s now or never. dsa.nyc/TTRRally

I'd really like to see leadership calling for impeachment and removal, regardless of whether they have the votes to get it done. Same way we called for marriage equality before we had the votes. A leader's job is to lead. If a genocidal threat isn't impeachable, then nothing is.

Today, I'm sitting down with Leila Bozorg and Cea Weaver from my housing team for a live AMA on r/nyc. Bring your questions on affordable housing, tenant protections, and the fight to keep NYC a home for working people. We'll be live at 1:45pm for an hour.

✊ TOMORROW- Be part of one of the largest protests in NYC history! On Saturday, March 28th, we're joining THOUSANDS of NYers taking to our streets because they are sick of ICE agents in our communities, billionaires buying our elections, and Trump’s endless wars. #HandsOffNYC #ICEOut #NoKingsNYC

This Saturday 3/28, join NYC-DSA’s “Tax the Rich” contingent at No Kings! We say no to austerity, no to wars, and no to ICE forever. We have the power to protect New Yorkers from Trump’s regime – but only if Kathy Hochul will tax the rich!

I remember protesting back in 2002-2003 as the Bush admin lied to America and the world about the need for another war in the Middle East. Now, two decades later, we have Trump not even pretending he cares about consensus building. I’m incredibly tired of GOP “leadership.” It’s all just murder.

The Pride flag at the Stonewall Monument is re-raised! New Yorkers won’t let Donald Trump erase LGBTQ+ history, or trample the rights of our LGBTQ+ neighbors.

1/ ProPublica collected handwritten letters in mid-January from children held at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center, the same facility where 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos was taken. Hundreds of kids are still detained. We’ll let the children’s words speak for themselves. 🧵

As hilarious as this is, Trump is mentally gone. Yes, Mamdani is charismatic as hell and I hope he can continue to keep Trump pacified re:NY. But it’s just as likely that after a few hours on his phone or talking to Stephen Miller, Trump will be threatening to bomb NYC or something.

Trump frickin' loves this guy lmao

A little torn on this one. Chi Ossé is exactly the kind person we need on the City Council as Mamdani works to enact his ambitious agenda. That said, Chi could do a lot of good in the House as well. He's an actual activist and fighter, so I'm ready to support him if he's going for it.

It is way, way past time for us to say ‘enough.’ We can live in a world where people are more than just playthings for the rich and powerful, if we’re willing to fight for it.

Think back to how you felt a year ago when Trump was reelected. Now think about how you feel after last night's election. You volunteered. You went to protests. You didn't check out. You put in the work required for our democracy — and it's paying off. Remember this.

Mamdani: "Donald Trump, since I know you're watching, I have four words for you: Turn the volume up."

Today’s the day, NYC. It’s been a tough year, but we’ve worked hard for this. All the doors we’ve knocked, people we’ve called and talked to. It’s time to show the world we can still dream of better tomorrows together, as long as we commit to work and fight for those dreams. Vote!

A few days after the presidential election one year ago, we went to Fordham Road in the Bronx. It was a little different last week.
