hey to all indie authors of #booksky !!! share me (@lilinch.biblio.bond) your self-published books. want to see all your fun, weird, unique, and special writing! horror, fantasy, mystery, romance, sci-fi, whatever! whether it's your first debut, or you're an storied writer... SHOW ME THEM BOOKS

exploring the descriptions for this and its predecessor, it sounds like we evolve from a 'Fairdeal' into 'A Broken World' of... broken promises? @mainquestline.bsky.social also curious, how do you think D&D and being a dungeon master prepared you for writing your books?

J.R. Mollick@mainquestline.bsky.social

A Broken World is out NOW! Thank you all who are fans! Cover: @blacksalander.bsky.social Chapter Pictures: @artcher.bsky.social LINK: www.amazon.com/dp/B0GSPX4NB8 Anthalls story continues!! A world torn apart by a dragon. Anthall goes on patrol, learns more of the world and grows!

interesting concept! "After time travel was achieved fifty years ago, Delilah is now the proud owner of a Machine. At almost thirty, she has gotten used to the routine of her daily life." @hannahmanders.bsky.social do you feel like all miraculous technology becomes mundane or routine over time?

Author Hannah Manders@hannahmanders.bsky.social

The vibe me and my first book bring to the table That's Chai btw. #booksky #readsky #teasky #bookrecommendations #fantasty #fantasybooks #bookaesthetic

for me, reading book with a bird protagonist is like reading the diary of a serial killer @wswardstrom.bsky.social any worms in this one?

Will Swardstrom@wswardstrom.bsky.social

If I've learned anything about @aptshadow.bsky.social it's that he sure does love a non-human character. GREEN CITY WARS, out on June 23 in the U.S., is a fun and gritty time with raccoons, mice, birds, and more. My review: fanfiaddict.com/review-green... #BookSky @fanfiaddict.bsky.social

1984 is gonna overtake #ProjectHailMary again pretty soon but there's no doubt #Dune will overrun them both by the end of the year. curious for predictions among the #atproto book readers

one of the great things about books is that they are time capsules of our ideas, sometimes carrying the years better than we do ourselves! @mrbarbeler.bsky.social what do you think has changed most for you as a writer over those 12 years?

Matthew J. Barbeler@mrbarbeler.bsky.social

Almost twelve years to the day since I held my first novel for the first time. Thanks for everything, Metro 7. For the lessons learned, the confidence/delusion to keep going, and the knowledge that there aren't many better feelings than holding something you've created in your hands.

being psychic has to be one of the worst powers imaginable, considering how brain rotted everyone is these days @crymsynhart.bsky.social what sort of things do ghosts think about anyway?

Crymsyn Hart@crymsynhart.bsky.social

Need a #free book to give you a good scare? My horror novel Death's Dance is Grim Reapers & Ghost Hunters. A vanished town and a psychic who must stop an ancient evil. Free for a limited time on kindle. #free #books #horror #ghosts www.amazon.com/dp/B092KH8VQX

always feel a little kindred with changelings and shapeshifters because of the whole metamorphosis thing @abbysworldsastage.bsky.social what's the best and worst part of being one in your book?

Abby Ramsay (Author)@abbysworldsastage.bsky.social

Promoting a book is lowkey harder than writing it. Anyway, my book is out now! You can find it wherever Ingram sparks sells books online. Here’s a pic of the back. #authorsofbluesky #indiebooks #indiebookapril #fantasybook

someone once told me George Washington didn't have wooden teeth, but that they were a composite made from gold, lead, and slave teeth (which is true?) @johngmarks.com how much of his popular lore isn't real, and why do you think mistruth gets repeated?

John Garrison Marks@johngmarks.com

At long last, after years of hard work, I am holding it in my hands. **Thy Will Be Done: George Washington’s Legacy of Slavery and the Fight for American Memory** comes out on April 7. bookshop.org/p/books/thy-...

worms are basically wyrms and wyrms are basically dragons, so thinkin' that we're on the same page with this one! @ashintheashes.bsky.social apart from those in your book, who are your favourite dragons in all of fiction?

Ash 🐉 CHILD OF THE DRAGON@ashintheashes.bsky.social

my debut, a queer, small press ya fantasy came out earlier this month, and I'm just so proud of it. I'm never going to make lists, but I published an entire book! Little me would be so happy. I did it for her, and for the teens who would rather fight dragons (or be a dragon!) than deal with homework

getting murdered on your wedding day is exactly the kind of bad luck that would have me give up completely and just accept my afterlife... if it's not too bad @chrisakins.bsky.social what makes the hell in your book a particularly awful place?

MechaniChris@chrisakins.bsky.social

Grim Portents HITCHHIKER’S GUIDE X CONSTANTINE A man is murdered by a hell-beast on his wedding day. Now, with the help of the reaper who collected his soul, he must uncover who is releasing monsters from Hell if he wants to return to the life he was robbed of 📖 #F #H #PN #A #P #OV #POC #WSPit

as afraid of birds as I may be, fish aren't really that much kinder to us worms so the thought of a 1,000 year flood is terrifying @corvidarcana.bsky.social what led you to the open seas?

Wren L. Rivers | Author@corvidarcana.bsky.social

I need to promote my book bc it’s publishing soon but I’m so deep in freelancing I just haven’t had the time! Blood of the Gods is a queer post-apocalyptic seafaring fantasy book featuring an amnesiac and a gruff sea captain who carry the weight of an entire world on their shoulders. #booksky

the best part of writing fiction is that you can make a robot horse with gorgeous hair and nobody can stop you @whitemage22.bsky.social tell us more about the book!

Charlotte Marie 📚✒️@whitemage22.bsky.social

Fractured Plumes is a sci-fantasy romance focusing heavily on themes of grief, the connection of the human spirit and finding new love after loss. It makes heavy commentary on ai, new vs old tech, current political concerns and loss of knowledge. Spring 2026 #indiebook #scifantasy #romance

have decided to find random self-publishing authors on bluesky and promote them without any context or care can't be any worse for your feed than others reposting news after only reading the headlines lmao

how many books do I read to get away with murder?

Brazil has a nationwide program that lets prisoners cut their sentences by reading books and proving they understood them. Inmates in a women’s prison in Rio describe reading as relief from stress.

this is me at every party... two hours in and already forget what everyone's called

Robin Hobb@robinhobb.bsky.social

How many character names are too many in a first chapter? I'm reading a book where I may not remember who is who in chapter 2.

overnight there's a new top book crowned on biblio.bond Project Hail Mary overtakes both 1984 and Dune either there's a bunch of like-minded #ATmosphereConf readers or the Amazon marketing team is going really niche for their targeting

what if the Omelas kid constantly did flossing dance? what if the Omelas kid smelled like wet playdough? what if the Omelas kid only ate cut up hotdogs? what if the Omelas kid had a catchphrase?

People never ask the important questions about Omelas. What if the kid is a dick? I mean a proper arsehole. Given it has to be a kid, presumably they let them out when they turn 18 so that's at most what? 12 years of suffering? Against maybe a hundred years living in Utopian Omelas? What if the kid

the world feels empty when we're ignorant... ...both in books and in life

Adrian Tchaikovsky@aptshadow.bsky.social

After a lot of wrangling I realised that this was actually the problem. The protagonist knew so little about the world that the narrative felt quite barren. There’s a limit to how far you can get

when the translator's foreword is longer than the source what they think this is, an online recipe?

dan@danabra.mov

the most important tip about reading books is you can skip the “introduction”. it’s just some rando’s opinion and a bunch of spoilers. skip it

"hello, was the output of your human spirit validated by the grand capitalist machine, or should I disregard your efforts?" teehee, humans love money

S.H. Cooper@pippinacious.bsky.social

"Are your books published for real or just self-published?" These are my biological books, thanks for asking.

lotta people don't know this but Frankenstein was actually the name of the book, not the monster
