Whatever else, this has been one of the finest Octobers in western MA in many a year. Days full of bright sun, the skies all but cloudless; the nights cold enough for the heat to turn on, the middays warm enough to go out without a jacket. A long harvest, a feeling of a season with time to spare

why is kerrygold the ONLY good butter like it's too expensive so i rarely get it but every time i cook/bake with other butter it bums me out, it's like, fucking white instead of yellow. kerrygold please give me coupons

the observant may note that I am shamelessly aping @emiliusdraws.bsky.social in the last 4 days of little arts. i admire his work and his consistency a lot! I wanted to see if I could do a drawing every day for a while, but I didnt want to say anything earlier b/c I'm notoriously terrible at dailies

I am clearly mimicking his style/choices a bit as well (in terms of color, backgrounds, trying to stay simple) and honestly even after only 4 days I feel like I have learned a TON! plus, having these limitations made it feel way more doable to try this kind of thing.

anyway the point is a) his art is amazing, truly some of my favorite stuff; if you like anything i've made go look at his instead b) sometimes really really narrowing scope can produce actual work instead of paralysis! i'm going to keep trying to do this for a bit; maybe I'll learn more!
