If you release frequent updates to your Android app (more than every 2 weeks), please set up robust baseline profile pipeline otherwise most of your users will have poor app performance (see developer.android.com/topic/perfor...)

The amount of shoulder shrugging when folks give Muse their email and other account access is depressing. "How bad can it be? Meta knows everything already" is such a defeatist take. Especially disappointed by @theverge.com podcast, people trust your opinions.

Kotlin's success has made its support of producing binaries only 3 minor versions back too rigid. I wrote a post about it and I would love your input. www.liutikas.net/2026/09/15/K... #kotlin

This is going to be a monthly occurrence once every site on the Internet is doing age verification 😔 https://techcrunch.com/2026/09/10/id-verification-giant-idscan-confirms-data-breach-with-more-than-150-million-drivers-licenses-stolen/

Properly and Casualty Insurance companies are making record profit as they continue to blame the environment. I'd love our government to have our back here. https://youtu.be/cr9TQI1mCk8?si=KrdBzAsDVfF9az5h
``` Upon reflection, I've come to believe that quality software is not about how many features something has or how quickly it is built but rather how cared for it is by the designers, developers, and product people who work on it. ``` This rings very true https://brettcodes.com/im-done-using-ai/
Excited to see @alllex.me and team get Isolated Projects to incubating. Now it is a race to stable!
Happy to finally bring it to the world! As always, it's only the beginning. There is so much work to do to let your builds avoid doing the work!
I wrote a post about what happens when you press the elephant button in Android Studio. https://www.liutikas.net/2026/08/03/What-Are-You-Syncing-About.html #gradle #intellij #build
Another 🔥-talk by Scott Jenson on things we could change in desktop UX. I especially liked the clipboard-like thing that remembers where that copy came from, I can see myself using it as anchors to jump back to when doing research. https://youtu.be/-IOLRcFC6OY?si=jk5g9Lk1Bbl_Kn0_
How about NO @bsky.app ! You really don't need my birthday information to work.
I am very very excited that Gradle Isolated Projects feature is finally marked as incubating. It is time for folks to try it out and see what breaks :) docs.gradle.org/9.7.0-rc-1/r...
