We remember 2008 when the Wall Street CEOs said they could regulate themselves. Big banks got bailed out and working people lost their jobs, homes, pensions and savings. We can’t make the same mistake with unregulated AI and their big tech billionaires.

Ohio, you brought the HOUSE DOWN! Fired up to have shared the stage with @barackobama.bsky.social in Cleveland! We’re taking this energy all the way to Election Day. Let’s win this for @amyactonoh.bsky.social, @sherrodbrownoh.bsky.social and every working family ready for change!

Working people aren’t asking for luxury. We want some breathing room so we can actually live instead of barely making ends meet. Everything is too expensive. We need elected leaders who will create an economy that works for all of us, not just billionaires.
Everything really is bigger in Texas, including the strength and energy of our union family! We’re putting it all into electing our union brother James Talarico. Let’s get those early votes in!
Leaving it all out on the field 💪 Texas workers are ALL IN for James Talarico. Let’s win this! ➡️ texasaflcio.org/vote
Texas workers deserve elected leaders who stand with us on our picket lines, not ones whose billionaire donors pick our pockets. @jamestalarico.bsky.social stands with us. I’m in Texas today because working people have waited long enough for a senator who answers to us.
Billionaires are spending big to elect politicians who answer to them. We’re making calls to elect leaders who answer to everyday Americans. Help turn out the vote for working people. Join a phone bank:
TWO WEEKS until Election Day. Every door, every call, every vote counts. Let’s defeat the politicians selling us out and instead elect leaders who fight for us. https://betterinaunion.org/
The billionaires want to buy this election. We have worker power. Early voting opens TODAY in Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, South Carolina and Texas. Let’s put working people’s power on the ballot. Make your plan to vote:
I’m proud to stand with union candidates who have spent their lives fighting for working people. From the bargaining table to the ballot box, they know whose side they’re on. Let’s get them elected.
Remember when we were told gas would drop below $2? Instead, we’ve had a record 158 straight days above $4. We have every right to be furious. We’re paying more at the pump while told lies about how great the economy is.
Tripling union membership could put $7,700 more a year in the typical worker’s pocket. That’s money for rent, groceries and a little breathing room. Working people don’t need another lecture about budgeting. They need the power to bargain for more.
Shit’s too expensive. Trump promised to bring prices down. Instead, his reckless agenda has driven costs up leaving working people stuck paying the bill. Let’s do something about it on November 3rd.

College athletes deserve a strong voice on the job and a say in their working conditions. But the Protect College Sports Act would deny college athletes these rights. We urge the House of Representatives to stand with athletes and vote NO on this bill. https://bit.ly/4dFttLj
I grew up in Oregon. Happy to help Susan Collins’ allies find Maine on a map. Once they get there, they’ll find working people ready to elect Troy Jackson.
Today is the voter registration deadline in Kansas, Louisiana, New Jersey, Oregon and West Virginia! Make sure your voice is heard in this year's midterm elections. Check your registration and make a plan to vote: betterinaunion.org/check
North Carolina and Oklahoma: TODAY is your deadline for voter registration. Working people have the power to elect leaders who will fight for us. Make sure you’re registered so you can vote and help make it happen: betterinaunion.org/check
Big Tech billionaires want free rein to reshape our jobs and our lives. Working people shouldn’t have to live with whatever they decide. We need elected leaders who will stand with us and fight for AI guardrails that protect our jobs and our rights.
In these final four weeks, we’re laying it all on the line to elect pro-worker candidates—including for a record number of union members. Workers are ready to fight for an economy, a government and a country for the people, not the billionaires.
If you live in Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Ohio, Tennessee or Texas, your voter registration deadline is TODAY. Make sure you’re registered and make a plan to vote:
Thank you, educators! You fight every day for the schools our kids deserve and make our unions stronger. On #WorldTeachersDay and every day, we’re proud to stand with you.
Happy #WorldTeachersDay from the AFT! Today, let's honor all of our educators by giving them the respect and resources they need to educate students for years to come.
On the heels of AI guardrail bills like No Robot Bosses & No Fakes, it’s promising to see @repcasar.bsky.social's AI Tax & Work Protection Act & @captmarkkelly.bsky.social's Make AI Work for Working Americans Act to counter AI disruptions & drive the conversation to making workers’ lives better.
Voting should be simple and easy, but if something goes wrong, you have rights. This year, it’s more important than ever to be prepared. Take a minute to read and share this with someone else before they head to the polls:
The Senate votes TOMORROW on the Protect College Sports Act. It’s a bill written by and for the bosses to put new obstacles in the way for athletes organizing a union. Senators should stand with them and vote NO. https://act.aflcio.org/call_campaigns/protect-college-athletes/

Workers are the experts on their jobs. That’s why unions are leading the way on AI, bargaining for a say in how it’s used at work every step of the way.
Democracy is strongest when everyone can vote and every ballot is counted. This election, we’re taking action to protect that right. Sign the pledge and join us:
Trump wants to brag about tax breaks—but working people are feeling the pain that his big bill made health care costs skyrocket and everything is more expensive.
November 3rd is right around the corner and early voting has already started in many states. Make your plan to vote today:
Pope Leo’s Magnifica Humanitas could have been written by the trade union movement. His call to put human dignity at the center of technological change is a powerful affirmation of what working people will continue to fight for.
Fox News’ polling shows that voters across party lines agree: It has become too damn expensive to live. Working people don’t need another lecture about how great the economy is. We need elected leaders who will actually bring down costs and raise wages.
The Senate blocked the CLARITY Act, stopping a bill that could have put workers’ pensions and retirement savings at risk while letting crypto companies play by their own rules. A huge win for working people!
