Icon sets have such a lack of consistency that I have to resort to bespoke per icon customisation to fix bullshit alignment issues. In this case, this icon from Phosphor is "aligned" with the text but not *aligned* with it due to the whitespace. This is so fucking stupid. #css #programming #design

Wikipedia/MediaWiki lets editors override arbitrary site styles with CSS expressed as wiki pages instead of doing it properly through the built in skin mechanism. Never buy a HP laptop. For some dumb reason my job gives us HP laptops. I can put it into hibernate at 100% battery and unplug it, and the next morning the battery is so empty it can't even boot up to the "please connect to power supply" message.

As @jvl.bsky.social pointed out, Harris ran a smart campaign. She was a solid candidate. Trump ran a disastrous campaign and is in clear decline. This was a clear choice. No matter who wins, half of voters either chose bigotry and authoritarianism, or had no problem with it. And that’s hard to take.
