I surrendered everything to Google in return for slight convenience, but I don't feel they are carrying their end of the bargain anymore. I mean, say what you want about selling your soul to the devil, at least Satan runs an honest business.

I honestly think that's also behind the push to use AI to create "art", books, music, images, entire actors, and whatnot. They want the title of artist, but they don't have the drive to do the things artists do to get better, all the work leading up to art, so they think they made a shortcut.

reminds me of something an emmy-winning comedy writer said years ago in a shared group chat

I think if a White House Down/Olympus Has Fallen scenario happened today, I think most people would be like "hold on, let's just wait five minutes before we send Tatum and Butler in."

John Fetterman looks like the guy they threatened to use if Rondo Hatton asked for too much money.

Suddenly reminded of an old Bush era scandal, where they gave white house press credentials to a fake news-outlet from a pac, who asked questions like "how will you work with the democrats who have divorced themselves from reality?". I think he later turned out to be a gay sexworker?

This post is unavailable.

Now that question wouldn't even raise an eyebrow. "Oh yeah, that's FartPoop, whose only qualification is having bought Twitter verification. He has a million followers, all Russian bots. Trump might make him press secretary. " Ah, to be in a time where scandals existed.

If Dems are up against Republicans in a bigotry-off, they are not going to win. Republicans are just better at bigotry, dems can't gain votes by playing on their turf.

Actual adult people who work in the mainstream press talk to this guy and take him seriously. He's a white supremacist, yes, but he's also just a premium sexless dork.

I am 40 fucking years old today, but I feel a thousand years older than yesterday. I am old and I am tired and I want to crawl into a deep deep hole and scream while being covered in dirt.

Not being able to make a Blade movie because you can't put like Spider-man or whatever in it is cinematic universe brainrot in Kevin Feige. Stick Mahershala Ali in a badass leather jacket and have him battle vampires in a long John Wickesque sequence, boom, one billion dollars.

Farming Simulator 25 seems pretty fun, but man, after the brief tutorial, they do not want to help you. "So where do I sell this?" "What am i your granddad, who also won't help" "Alright, how do I buy lime and how do I spread it "figger it out"

A few months ago, Lindsey Graham started raving and ranting during a meeting with danish PM Mette Frederiksen. Lots of salty language, demands about Greenland, and calling her "little lady". Frederiksen let him tucker himself out before calmly saying "if you are done, we continue the meeting".

Ideal Letterboxd scenario would be that the founders somehow manage to buy it back, smosh style. If a mega corporation buys it, I'm outta there, back to spreadsheets. Never get so attached to a website that you can't leave it in 30 seconds flat.

People often thought Trump must have had dirt on Lindsey Graham, but I think the truth is far worse. Graham was just a little political parasite whose lips always hooked on to the most important ass in the room. He had no opinions of his own and he leaves nothing of any value.

Oh, absofuckinglutely not. Even if I weren't already offended by the whole proposal, I'm almost offended that it barely even sounds like Gene Wilder. They could probably have hired a fairly talented voice-performer and gotten a better Gene Wilder impression for a quarter of the price.

Netflix has released its first trailer for reality show “Wonka’s The Golden Ticket”. Its selling point is also its most controversial: the voice of Willy Wonka is that of Gene Wilder, recreated by GenAI with the permission and participation of his widow. youtu.be/oTSvnmTfLj8

It does check out that RFK Jr. would relate to professional wrestlers. He too has to pretend about his job in public, he has hotdog skin, he has taken a lot of drugs, and he has serious brain injuries that people should worry about more. It was either right-wing politics or WCW.
