Merch is proliferating on Amazon, Etsy, others, with “alligator Auschwitz” and “alligator Alcatraz.” Just got off the line with Amazon customer service expressing that this merch is promoting hate speech and I urge others to do the same with whatever shopping platforms you are on 1/3

Some of my talking points: this merch is promoting violations of due process as well as the 8th amendment of the US Constitution, and the Auschwitz references are hate speech referring to putting human beings into concentration camps where they were murdered. 2/3

Next: I know it’s probably making big $$$ but it’s making $$ off of kidnapping and human trafficking and I can’t imagine that Amazon condones that. Collaborating with fascists is not a good business strategy. I don’t know if it’ll do any good but it was cathartic. 3/3

So I’m not sure if it’s a good thing or a bad thing that I stop by my senator’s office to share my opinions, and the aides recognize me from the last times I was in there giving them a piece of my mind. Maybe they’ll give me a punch card or something.

I gave out my first carta roja. At a home improvement store with lots of shoppers that need to know their rights. I was nervous because I don’t speak Spanish and i didn’t want to be insulting so I used the translate on my phone to say “you might know someone who needs this”. Looking for other ideas
