Been coming to this village in the Alpujarras since the 80s & other than the plastico & turbines nothing has really changed. Mules & goats head down into the valley at 7, cockerel cacophony at 8, church bells every 15 minutes & the sun makes its predictable path down & up the valley sides.

Lovely sunrise from west hill in #hastings this morning. Ships heading for the Atlantic and even one heading up the channel in the far shipping lane, which is a rare sight. A bit of Fata Morgana thrown in for good measure

Eurgh. My builders appear to have an aversion to shutting the front door. Currently hiding upstairs wearing two jumpers and three pairs of socks.

Hastings, and all of the day-trippers and tourists have gone home. The towns’ ours again.

Day 56 of having builders in the house. Now at the point of not even seeing the dust everywhere
