Paul // Lost Soul 👻💀

Heya! I'm Paul, sometimes known as Lost Scot. I've been writing songs for a while. I stopped for a bit. Now I'm back again. I also do freelance voice acting, I'm a gamer and a huge turbo nerd. Click the link to check out my new music, or my other links for everything else!

Congrats to Olivia Chow on her re-election! That's some relief at least.

My new hobby: Reporting every ad that that I see online using obvious AI as a scam.

If you are in an indie game studio and you release a game that becomes a huge hit, I'm begging you - please don't sell anything to a giant publisher. I know the amount of money will make it hard to resist, but... <gestures wildly>

The exercise from my food bank volunteering this morning seems to have taken care of this. More annoying evidence that exercise is good for you, and I hate it.

We went for our annual vaccinations yesterday, and they've hit hard this morning 🤕

I think it's going to have to be an Air this time. The jump to Pro seems like a way more significant price bump this time, and I don't even think my workload benefits from active cooling any more.

2026 is wild. Brand new M6 Mac Mini: $1250 2 year old refurbished M4 Mac Mini: $1550

He just sang: "if you wannabe my mother, You have got to bake We can ask together Tell me is it cake" I suddenly feel like I've been replaced as the family songwriter 😅

It's so cute how much my son loves the show "Is It Cake?" 😀

HOT NEWS! I’ve got a brand new album coming out real soon! 🌛 Hot jazz funk! Shōwa-style vibes! Cool guests and crazy instruments! GORGEOUS TRANSLUCENT BLUE VINYL! 💙 It’s called Midnight Sparkle, you can pre-order and check out a few tracks right now: alphachromeyayo.bandcamp.com/album/midnig...

Very short emotional rollercoaster. Looking at the Apple website, speccing up Macbook options, checking the prices, etc. Was surprised to see the 16" Pro looking way more affordable than I thought, especially after my trade in. Yay! Turns out I was looking at the US site.

I am getting unreasonably hyped for Dawn of War 4. The press previews are good, it looks amazing, and I loved the first 2 games. I really hope it's not a huge disappointment!

@alphachromeyayo.com Previews sound great! "Heads UP!" grooves like a motherfucker and I am 100% here for it. Let me know if you ever want another guest vocalist for something!

I regret playing the full basketball tonight. Felt good after the first half but maybe pushed too hard in the second 😮‍💨

In the spirit of moving as little as possible, I reduced the cost of buying my songs on Subvert and made the instrumentals free. The weird or more experimental stuff won't be going up on streaming services any more, so maybe my listeners won't be quite so confused 😅

Okay, despite the nausea and the garbage trucks coming at the exact wrong moment, I think the first audition recording is done and just needs comped. I'll try to have some lunch and then record the next while I'm on a roll!

FWIW I'm a Collin Murray-Boyles stan, and I don't know if it's because I like how he plays or if it's because he has the most Scottish name that a non-Scottish person could possibly have. Maybe it's both.

I'm sure everyone is totally shocked by this one. Shocked.

That was an absolute bloodbath. Holy crap! 😁

Home opener baybeeeeeeeeeeee! #LetsGoRaptors

I'm thinking I might take the instrumental tracks down from my streaming profiles and maybe just make them royalty free downloads instead.

As of today, Carl's leg has officially healed enough that he's done with the cone! #ItsCarl

It's almost like we shouldn't let private companies control global communications platforms or something.

Good choice.

Ugh, I really need to get some decent photos done to go with all of my new music. I don't have the patience for looking around and finding someone. It was so much better when someone else took care of the admin stuff 😬

Do you have your copy of "What's The Time In California?" yet? It's still a couple of weeks away from hitting the streaming platforms, but because you're a VIP you can get it early 😀

It’s taking a long time for people to wake up to the fact that these platforms are not public forums but privately owned companies with terrible agendas and total control. If you lay down with these dogs…

Okay, I an enjoying this Pop_OS experience. Proton seems to have taken care of the last concern I had for getting rid of Windows. Am I a Linux guy now?

Drop some BIKES

I totally forgot that I had another song scheduled for release yesterday! Does it count for #BandcampFriday?

I played pretty well in tonight's basketball game. A few rebounds, a couple of blocks, a couple of steals and 3 baskets. I also apparently ran 5km. It feels like maybe I'm getting back into it. It also explains why I hurt now. A lot.

❕ I haven't played this yet, but if Absolute Drift and Art of Rally are anything to go by, Over The Hill should be a blast!
