I've been mentoring a select group of young, motivated women who want to get into the field. Seeing their hard work, perseverance, and motivation, just like I had when I first started learning, is lovely.

I keep thinking I've finally figured myself out. Then life reminds me I haven't. Rethinking and relearning how I function in my twenties isn't easy, but it might be one of the most important things I'll ever do.

My partner: builds a career that only works at a handful of Dutch companies, on location. Also my partner, atleast 10 times a year: "Should we buy a house in Sweden? Maybe some land? Maybe just rent there?" This man has some wild plans 😆

Sometimes I do miss being stuck on a silly little bug and scrolling through Stack Overflow for hours, then finally feeling the rush of solving it

Talk 2/2 of Update Conference has been given. Now I'm tired 😴 Don't worry, there were people sitting there while I was speaking.

My calendar for the next quarter is looking pretty empty. Looking for an experienced speaker for a conference in Europe or online, or a meetup in the Netherlands or online? Hit me up 🔥

If you love TypeScript, you’ll probably enjoy C#. If you love C#, you’ll probably enjoy TypeScript. Hard pill to swallow for some, but it’s true.

How much money do you spend on AI subscriptions? I'm at 20 USD a month but I feel like a lot of developers spend way more than that.

My grandparents love what I do and I always take keychains with me for them when I get back from a foreign country. And the keychain board is finally full! Here we have Brussels, Texel, Seattle, Prague, Kansas City, Stockholm, Lichtenstein, Berlin, Zürich, Warsaw, Tokyo and Luxembourg 🤩

I found this ancient business card. This was back when I was still working as an IT support employee. This design still kind of slaps tbh

Finally got a well needed upgrade on the 3D printer. I tried to print a multicolored MVP coaster with my new AMS system. It's not a perfect print but I'll be queen of the 3D prints one day! 🤩

10 talks. 15 blog posts. 3 mentees. Another year on the .NET Foundation board. And, most importantly, another year of caring for and contributing to this amazing community. MVP renewal submitted. Here’s hoping for year 4 as a Microsoft MVP ✨

Vibecoded a simple React Native app with GPT Codex to track whether or not I need to check / water my plants ☘️💦 All plant apps in the play store are way too much.

I graduated 2.5 years ago thinking I had it all figured out. I was wrong. The biggest lessons haven't been about the work itself, but about what I need mentally, emotionally, and physically to actually sustain it. It's been an interesting journey for sur

Partner: "Should I buy a new laptop? My 8gb on RAM on my MacBook is not enough" Me: "Why don't you just upgrade your older Lenovo laptop?" ThinkPads rock! You can't convince me otherwise.

I’ve realized C# is just too concise. I’m craving more words. Today, I begin my journey into Visual Basic. Finally, a language that understands my need for 'End' 'If' and 'Then' statements.

I decided to make the jump from Google Pixel to Samsung. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is on its way! I love DeX and One UI on my Samsung tablet, so I'm excited. I’ll probably still forever hate the Samsung app bloat though.
