1/17 It seems like moderation lists (blocklists) are a pain in the (well you know.) A lot of people feel they are being targeted to suppress their Free Speech and want a way to remove themselves from any given blocklist. Bluesky’s Community Policing Program consists of moderation lists and labeling.

21 with reasonable Advisory Lists labels that advice “Evaluate accounts.” Two groups without advisory labels: (a little judgmental?) 🤷‍♀️ “Anime/furry/avoidant younglings” idk why “Unlabeled AI” One real dissonance list HAD the advisory: “Musk-stans/Al-sloppers” — for people who make AI lists! 🤣🤣🤣

The same is true when femininity, women’s names, or drag are used as the punchline to insult someone. Those jokes rarely impact their intended target. Those messages land most heavily on the hearts of other marginalized people. I know most people don’t mean harm. But impact matters. 🦋 5/10

For years I’ve tried, in my own small way, to encourage conversations that leave people with a little more hope, a little more understanding, and a little more kindness than they had before. I’m simply too tired to keep doing that right now. 🦋 6/10

I’m tired of watching conversations circle endlessly while meaningful action too often never follows. I’m tired of seeing people already living with mental illness pushed further to the margins sometimes unintentionally, simply because their experiences are forgotten in conversations. 🦋 3/10
