ok btw disclaimer i'm a local politics sicko so expect me to be Weird for the next week ok? love you mwah

i just have such strong feelings about the state auditor race! and the county attorney race! and the school board race! and the county commissioner race! and the races that others have strong feelings on too ofc like attorney general and senate and school funding referendum but that's normal

actually it's normal to be extremely invested in it all so nvm 💜 electoralism won't save us but it can be a powerful tool to make things at least slightly better and to prevent things from getting a lot worse, especially on the local level and in races that get less attention and money

i've always felt like that movie about the beach that makes you elderly has some good things to say about the working class. not like that movie where crime is legal for one night, that one feels like it's just about the fears of the ruling class it's a real oldetariat vs purgeoisie situation

it just feels Correct

i really admire nic cage for his commitment to work-life balance. those kids are getting killed, sure, but he's on break - he'll help after he's done playing pinball and drinking punch
