Q: What’s your best writing advice? A: Pedro Martín: Don’t be too precious about your writing. Write for fun, write for any reason, and save it all. Later on, you’ll have so much to pull from.

Q: What’s your favorite thing about writing? A: Pedro Martín: I love telling stories and seeing where they take me. Sometimes, a story takes on a life of its own and heads in an unexpected direction. It drives my editor crazy, but I love it!

Q: What was your favorite subject in school? A: Pedro Martín: I liked English, history, and social studies, but I liked drawing even more. I could only take in information while doodling. I’d sometimes draw on my desk and got in trouble for it every single time!
