Not to wade into the discourse months late, but I just binged watched TADC in like 3 days and my only real complaint about the ending is that you could have done all the beats of the last scene without Caine. The characters could have struck out on their own and found their real selves.

They could have rebuilt the circus and created their own adventures on their own, why even have the scene of Kinger teaching everyone how to manifest? It feels like the last little bit was some kind of official fixfic, like they were worried Caine's fans would riot over him not surviving the series.

Unironically one of my favorite video game things is when they start using an early game boss as a regular enemy once the late game rolls around. Especially when it has exactly the same amount of HP and deals the same amount of damage but you're so much stronger it doesn't even register as a threat.

If Jacob Geller had really been the empathetic softboi that he presented himself as, he would have been able to put himself in the shoes of his victim and think about how she might be continually retraumatized to see her rapist move on to have a highly successful career as a public figure.

Knowing my surgery is less than a week away is such a relief. It somehow doesn’t feel real yet. Those memories surface as almost a reminder to not get too hopeful. I can thank my mind for trying to protect me & choose to embrace anticipation anyways. We all deserve to feel at home in ourselves.
