so for those who are new/werent aware, the reason i havent been drawing is because i destroyed my drawing tablet in a fit of rage, because it sucked. but i think i found a new one that looks nice, and might need some help with funds for it....

and tbh with a heartbreaking death in the family + birthday stuff coming up i havent really felt up to traditional art. but i do miss it. depending on how quickly im able to get the tablet its up in the air whether the october poll rewards are traditional or digital

IT ENDED IN A TIE!! Nightmare Moon and Shadow the Hedgehog are the winners. I will draw both, but they will be traditional art! as for next month's poll.... i will enter a little pony. but she's on THIN ICE

Malcat! πŸ’«@malcatty.bsky.social

last chance to vote!! again if nightmare moon wins (and she is winning), then there will be NO my little ponies in next month's poll

the reason i always put "complex designs" in quotes is because everyone has their own definition of complexity. i dont mind drawing small details at all. i dont consider that complex. extra limbs, lots of clothing/accessories, hair details, i personally don't consider any of those complex

i will take a swing at any kind of character design. can't guarantee itll be successful or look great in my style but there are very few designs i will look at and go "theres no way i can draw that." if i study a ref sheet hard enough there is nothing i cant do

finally figured out how to draw clay (..by studying a photo of moo deng...) but the way i put the color ref on the canvas just makes it seem like theyre stoked to be meeting their duplicate #wingsoffire #dragons

im not talking about experimenting with art and being unsure, im talking about outwardly stating that you hate your art that you made. i see it a lot. it feels like the caption equivalent of drawing stink lines over your own art. not a fan at all
